So, because of online gambling restrictions at the banks in my area, the only site that I can deposit money in is Full Tilt Poker, but I wanted to see what site I like best, which is kind of hard when I can't deposit. SO. That brings me to this.

At Bodog, they have these twice daily $500 freeroll tournies. Incredibly easy competition from what I have seen so far, and for a freeroll, the payouts aren't horrible.

My goal is to build a small bankroll from these freerolls so that I have enough to start playing real games on Bodog.

Every time I enter one of these freerolls, I'll post here, showing my final place, money won (if any), and the hand that I got busted on, plus maybe a few notes about the game.

So here we go:

Current Bankroll: $0

1. 5-11-08 (this past Sunday)
Placed: 160th
Out Of: 3238
Started: 2:40 PM
Ended: 5:14 PM
Money Won: $0
Hand Busted On:
Since I can't get Poker Tracker to work with Bodog, I'll explain.

I'm dealt A-K in middle position and it's folded to me.
I raise 4x the BB, and get one caller, the Button.
The Flop comes out with K-7-A rainbow.
I couldn't have asked for more, so I go All-In, about 12,000 chips with the BB at 600.
Turns out the other guy had 7-7. Which sucks. The odds of that happening are... well very small.

Anyway, I'm about to start another one right now, and I'll post my results when I'm done. I'm actually not expecting to be able to finish this, since they are pretty long, and I still live at home (18, still in High School for another 2 weeks) and am expected to eat dinner with the family and stuff like that, so I might play the other one starting at 9:40 tonight and just drink lots of caffeine for school tomorrow.

(100 BB)
I'm dealth JDiamond K Spade UTG and just called, expecting someone to raise a little and go heads-up. That didn't happen and 4 people limped in after me. Not Ideal.
Flop came up JSpade 5Spade 9Spade
This isn't a horrible flop for me, I have top pair with a good kicker, and if another Spade comes up I have a king high flush.
I bet 210 to see where I was and got 2 callers, the others folded.
Turn is A Club
The SB checked, and I decided to try and steal the pot since I was at 13BB when this hand started, so I needed to get some chips or I wouldn't have much of a chance, plus the ace was a good bluff card unless someone actually had an ace, but in these things people usually raise pre-flop with A-x, so I went All-In (1K chips)
The guy who was after me called instantly, and while the SB took his time to fold, I was thinking of how screwed I was.
He turned over JClub 9Club, flopped 2 pairs, so unless my Spade came up I was dead.
Turn was 7Heart and that was the end of me.

This guy just called my Bet on the flop, so I figured he had middle pair or a flush draw... guess I shouldn't underestimate people who smooth call and slowplay, or maybe he was just scared of the Spade flop

think about how you're going to withdraw money if you do manage to build up a roll - and best of luck!

Depositing money on Bodog is easy. Go to a drug store or a place that sells Visa gift cards. They come in $30, $50 and $100 amounts and act just like a debit card, although you can't deposit more money on to them. The beginner Sit N Goes are incredilby easy on Bodog, so have fun making cash.

Ah, That's a great idea. I never thought of that. Although daven brings up a good point, even if I use the visa gift card to deposit, will it let me withdraw?
