Just play smart poker in all stages. Nobody can tell you how to play A10 in MP because it depends on who is at the table. How has everyone been acting? Loose or tight. Are you raising to steal the blinds or build the pot? What are you hoping to hit on the flop? I think it just comes with experience and having confidence in your play.

Personally, i'd probably fold it. I figure the small amount of money in the pot has little relevence to the mass of money i'm going to need to win a tourny. I let the blinds dictate my tight/looseness. (in accordance to my stack)

personally im open raise/folding to a shove/3 bet with ace 10 in the hopes that i make trip 10's, some sort of multiway priced inside draw or the middle/top of an open ended with A10o in mp.
im not playing for the ace in this situation the ace has so much value when you make ur 10s because so many play j10s/o from a later position and stack off with it when the 10 double smacks on the flop.

IMO, your open raise should be at least 5X BB during the 10-20 and 15-30 blind levels, and you should only be opening JJ, QQ, KK, AA, or AK, AQ, anything else is a limp/fold hand. I like to limp a lot during the first two levels too. Hit a big flop or get out. Also gives you a looser image for when you do get a big hand early.
