FWIW some of you might remember I posted that i was running like god at my 25NL shot. It couldnt be any different now, i suck.
villain is 65/7/0.5 over a very small sample size. Shove pre? Bet/fold turn?
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (5 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver Cards)
UTG ($35.10)
MP ($4.05)
Button ($34.40)
Hero ($25)
BB ($28.40)
Preflop: Hero is SB with , .
2 folds, Button raises to $0.5, Hero raises to $2, 1 fold, Button raises to $3.5, Hero calls $1.50.
Flop: ($7.25) , , (2 players)
Hero bets $5.5, Button calls $5.50.
Turn: ($18.25) (2 players)
I cant work the converter, I check turn, villain shoves, I fold. |

| any explanation as to why guys? My logic in betting was that I didnt want him to get a free card on such a draw heavy board. Cheers. |

| While he may be checking behind JJ/QQ on this flop, those are the main hands you are ahead of here and want to get value from, and they have only 6 outs. You're very rarely going to be up against a huge draw. If any J or Q comes, you can be fairly confident your hand is dead, and I wouldn't be at all concerned about a diamond. These things allow you to play your hand pretty slow. I would c/c a flop bet and bet the river if the turn gets checked through, or if the flop checks through i would bet turn and shove river. If a J or Q pops up its just an instant check-fold. This line also is good because when you are behind AA or a set, sometimes a scary card will fall and villain shuts down after you call the flop and you avoid stacking yourself by bet/shoving or check/shoving the flop. |
