Thought I'd make a video for you guys...might be a little boring because I couldn't figure out how to add audio commentary (i'll see if I can figure that out later). Its 1hr and 20minutes long and I finished with 2 first places. Comments/advice appreciated

Wow, you spend a LOT more time analysing hands and making notes than I do. Maybe I need to work on that more. I tend to focus on the hands as they're played, whereas it seems you focus more on hands after the fact, would that be a fair statement?

For lower players, one thing you should take out of this is just how tight fjuanl is early. Pay attention to the hands he folds, especially out of position or after raises, and early on how he doesnt do anything fancy postflop. Then note how aggressive he is v's the short stacks later in the game.

Also for those interested in how the higher level tables play, notice the different table dynamics going on. Table 1 (clockwise from top left) is fairly tight, whereas the other 3 are all fairly loose. Theres no real "this is how $22s play" to take out of it. Theres plenty of bad players as well as guys who know what they're doing.

Lol at the 80/2/13 guy with the IntelliPoker avatar.

Now my questions/comments:

Whats your trigger for looking guys up on startracker?

That 89o (22:30) hand on table 2 was interesting. Brutal turn (paired the board with you having the bottom end of the straight). What was your thinking process on that turn?

JJ table 4 (27:30) hand, that guy was 24/1 or something and you've been tight as a fishes butthole, I could almost see a laydown there. What was your thinking there?

8To table 3 (40.45) - 10bb push from button? How tight do they need to be calling for that to be +EV?

JKo table 4 (41:15) - with both blinds having less than 10bbs, would you have called a push from either one? If so, would a push be better?

J3o table 1 (51:45) - I'd tend to just fold and hope the shorties get AI v's each other. You think your FE is worth it here?

TKs table 1 (1:07:00) - I really dont like that line. Theres no way the 8 helped your hand on the turn. Wouldnt you be better raising the flop here? Or even c/r the turn rather than lead out the turn (looks a lot stronger).

86o (1.23.15) - Is this a good push here?

Only really non-hand specific thought was I'd have thought you'd play back a bit on the first HU table, seemed he pushed you around a bit postflop.

Yeah I tend to be a bit obsessive about my note-taking, but in the end it helps me focus. Picking up good reads tends to help more in regular speeds since theres less shove-fold poker. Hopefully the HH table popping up every second wasnt too annoying

I looked up the first person on startracker because he was at 2 of my tables. I also wanted to know stats on the people I got heads up with. Other than that I'll just look at stats on people where I can't really tell if they are a winning or losing player.

The 89 hand was pretty interesting. The flop was kinda sucky even though I flopped a straight because of the insanely drawy board. I pretty much ruled out AK though...especially with the last 2 callers (almost no one would limp AK with 2-3 limpers ahead). I felt like on a flop like this, people arent going to slowplay 2 pair, especially the last 2 callers. It also kinda helped because I was pretty sure the first two flop callers were losing players (especially the 2nd).

JJ hand: I didn't really take stats into account all that much (only been 20 hands). I raised on the button, the blinds figure I could be on a loose range and shove a wide range. I was really expecting to see 88-TT, AT/AJ type hands

T8o button push: I wasnt entirely sure about this one but given it was 7-handed still and both blinds were super nits, I knew this couldn't be way off. (I just checked Wiz and it recommends pushing 73% if blinds call at top 10%)

KJo hand: Yeah I was committed to calling either of their shoves. You might be right about pushing, they might think theres fold equity (and shove wide) with a standard raise

J3o hand: Both of the short stacks were playing reaally tight and trying to slip into the money. You dont see this situation too much but I felt like I still had a lot of fold equity

KTs hand: If I remember right this villian was really loose postflop. I almost always check/raise there but I didn't think I had much fold equity on a 636 board. Opp would assume this board didnt hit my range at all and call/shove with a huge range. Villian was definetly capable of tricky plays (the check/raise with 62s where I knew he had nothing and folded anyway...). I just felt like c/c, lead turn seemed stronger. Also didn't really want to get it all in given how deep stacked it is (and how bad opp is)

86o hand: Yeah its probably close but I thought villian would call the shove pretty tightly

Yeah my heads up play could use some work, my instincts seem to be way off lately.

Thanks for checking it out Smile

Yeah its tough, the 99x board when you had AQ I would have probably pushed over (and that one he was bluffing), but then the KTo hand on 663 board I probably c/r flop and he had pocket Qs, so I'm 1/2 on picking his bluff spots.

That 99x one just looked like such a prime bluff spot that I felt we were likely good there and letting him push us off the best hand.

The JJ hand, yeah I considered the fact we only had 20-25 hands, I just dont know that relatively early we can put a lot of resteals in his range. My main reason for maybe calling was I'd expect AA/KK to raise to something like 500ish to try to get action off you, so the push might indicate something more like an AK,AQ or lower PP type hand that would prefer you just go away.

I downloaded the avi, but it won't run in Realplayer, Windows Media Player or Quicktime. Any ideas on why it won't run?

I think you need the xvid codex (i used it to compress the video). I'd recommend using VLC media player, it pretty much is compatable with any file.

4-tabling is standard for me. I've 6 tabled a few times but it was pretty difficult to keep up with the note-taking. I could probably be comfortable playing 8+ tables but it would be too robotic/not fun
