I play often and have played for a few years...I always wondered though, what do the phrases "think about the game/study the game/student of the game" mean.
usually players use this in terms of thinking about the game while not playing, and i always get an image of someone day dreaming about checkraising someone randomly. However, i feel that my thinking about the game primarily consists of hands i played that troubled me and I think about why and what happened.
I feel like this isnt nearly as complex as some of the more experienced veterans' experiences.
I'd like to hear from some of the more experienced players on FTR about what they think about and how they initiate these thought processes |
