This was a few days ago so I don't have much of an idea about SB. Is a cbet profitable here? If it is, do you fire again on blank turns?

Poker Stars $20+$2 No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t15/t30 Blinds - 8 players

MP1: t815
MP2: t1525
CO: t2665
BTN: t2440
SB: t1310
BB: t2095
UTG: t1305
Hero (UTG+1): t1345

Pre Flop: Hero is UTG+1 with THeart TClub
1 fold, Hero raises to t120, 4 folds, SB calls t105, 1 fold

Flop: (t270) JDiamond 3Heart KSpade (2 players)
SB checks, Hero ???

I would almost always check behind here and see what happens on the turn. If he checks again I might throw out a 180 bet.

I think I bet out if I don't have a read that he likes to c/r.

There are three reasons to bet:
- As a bluff
- For value
- To protect your hand against draws.

I'm not sure which of these reasons betting here would accomplish? Maybe opp might fold a better hand like Jx or K-bad kicker I guess - but checking behind and betting the turn would accomplish the same thing and also give you a bit more certainty that opp didn't catch a piece of this board.

check behind.. if the turn is a non-scare card and the opponent checks you can take a stab at it more comfortably.

I want to see a cheap showdown here. As such check behind, evaluate the turn card.

I think you can safely check behind here and evaluate on the turn.

Yeah guess your right but if you check here and opp bets any turn its usually a fold. I would bet as a standard cbet, to make opps who missed flop fold. I only see him c/r JJ or KJ unless he's bluffing. He could have small pair here or an ace that missed the flop an I'd be happy to win it here. I understand checking and playing for showdown value but this hand will rarely get checked back to you on turn.

If he bets turn that is Q or A are you folding but 3-betting any lower card?
