How is Omaha odds calculated? there is 4 cards instead of just 2, so my guess is that it is a much higher chance to get your draw, do you just doubble up evrything? I would like to learn this, if some great omaha player would explain this in detail so I can test some stuff out, or if anyone have info on this please post a link, I already know about the point system |

Odds in omaha are a lot different, card player has a nice calc to give you a decent amount of odds, however here is a breakdown on how I calculate how and when to play an omaha hand. (full ring 9 players)
Cards in play before the flop 36. Cards remaining 16. after the flop 13. So
Cards in play before flop 69% So lets say you flop a flush draw meaning you hold 4 to the flush leaving 9 outs. 69% of those outs are not good. so you are down to 3 outs. 3 outs out of 13 cards, leaves about a 24% chance for you to hit your flush.
Omaha is a post flop game, and a simple rule to keep money on your side of the court is: If someone is betting they have something, unless you can beat a random something, or get the correct odds to draw to the nuts you fold. NEVER ever draw to anything besides the nuts. |

That is incorrect math. You hold 4 cards.
You have :
The flop comes
You know 7 cards out of 52 possible cards.
You have 9 possible flush outs and 3 possible straight outs not including your flush out. That would be 12/45 at the flop and 12/44 at the turn to hit your hand.
If you don't see a card, it is still a possibility |
