Obviously i should have raised 6th. That was a brain cramp and totally stupid on my part.

I would raise 3rd. Best hand showing, seems somewhat hidden strength. Don't know how significant 1-2 outs gone is.

Otherwise makes sense.

Not a bad idea. Ive also been told to raise 5th, but the problem with trying to take down the pot is that they dont fold...lol...EVER.
So i find it more prfitable to check and try for the free card.

pretty sure you don't want him to fold 5th

I didn't realize the action. bet call is way better than check bet call.

I'm assuming these villains are terrible, so I'm raising 3rd, normally betting 4th, I may check since I wtf missed. Lead 5th, so what if he doesn't think you have a pair of Qs (or cares).

so you have 7 outs.

know 12 cards, so 52-12= 40
(40-7)/40 = .825

6ht street
(38-7)/38 = .816

7th
(36-7)/36 = .801

.825*.816*.801 = 54%

so you brick slightly more than 1/2 the time. This assumes you need the straight to win, which is no way. Bet 5th.

I like raising 3rd, probably getting the bring in to fold and getting the pot heads up

Definitely raise 6th

Doesn't hero miss straight about 1/3 of the time? Maybe I'm wrong, but with a 4-card straight on 5th st. (two cards to come), don't his odds against improving look more like:

5th st.:
52-12= 40
(40-7)/40 = .825

6th st.:
(38-7)/38 = .816

Odds against straight:
.825*.816 = .673

And, at these stakes (no fold equity!!!), I'm not sure that betting out on 5th st. is a good idea. A raise on 6th st. is warranted, though.

Maybe no... keep in mind, I'm a noob...

Just fold 5th. The pot is tiny, you could be drawing dead, or you could make your hand only to have him draw to a flush anyways.

Just a question for dsax or anyone, because I want to know: does the three open clubs on someone else's porch always mean you fold a straight draw? I've never thought about that - seems like it could be the right move, though?

Not always, but I would when there's only 1 big bet in the pot. He's not all that likely to have a flush (a lot of players would have bet a 4 flush on 4th street), but it still doesn't seem worth it to call.
