Uh, so you had an Ace suited with 3 hearts in your hand as well as the king of hearts, the main payoff card if you manage to actually hit your flush, and this made the hand playable?.....

The flop missed you drop that hand. In Omaha you need the nuts at least 50% of the time.

I didn't think it was a terrible hand to play. Probably should have had A10 or better though... Post flop play was not great should have tossed it after not hitting the set or flush draw.

Was raising pre-flop correct? Generally I'll raise high cards pre-flop.

Outplayed? Please explain. When I realized his hand was better I folded.

I was testing the waters on the flop and he re-raised me. Probably should have folded there but I figure I'd call the .02 and see what the turn had to offer at that point. I folded on the turn when he showed strength, and saw the third Jack. :-) Up to that point I figured he probably had a low hand. He had a crap hand preflop.

My main question is preflop play with a high hand. Isn't raising the right thing to do and he just got lucky with the flop? Was my hand really so bad that it should have been folded preflop?

I realize that there was nothing I could do that would have helped me win the hand without help from the cards.

I am trying to tighten my play up a bit. Did pretty good tonight. I'll keep plugging away.

Been playing lots and learning more everyday. Now I would just limp with that hand probably only from late position. I probably would have folded from his raise.

If not folding pre-flop, I would now check/fold the flop.

Besides, now I've figured out this pot odds thing! :-)

Imo, it was not wrong to call with your hand, since it had good potential _if_ it hits on flop. That means if flop contains a K. Hopefully with atleast two flush cards of your suit, and hopefully not two suited in another suit, or two lo connectors since another lo will split the pot with you if you win, and can even scoop with a small straight...
6 players were with you seeing the flop... 24 cards were out except yours... that means the chance that someone sits with a J (and has you greatly beat) would be more than 75%... since the board is paired, a flush draw is now worthless... so the only cards that would make you happy on turn would be another king. That happens less than 4% of the time. You haven't put much money in the pot, the most money will be put in on the later rounds. Therefor, don't wait to get out... If your opponents are very weak (as they probably are at 0.01/0.02 level) you might do right (but mostly not) calling a 0.02 bet (but not more) on the flop in late position considering the implied odds if you hit your K. Now appearantly a J hit the turn, and the chance someone would sit with a J falls to a bit more than 50%, but there was betting and raising on the flop so the probability someone would sit with J is still great. If not, AA wouldn't be unlikely. So generally, call to see the flop, a pair hits the flop, realize the probability you are beat are too great to even consider proceed with your hand...
