Opp is a 6 max reg, somewhat active raising on the BU, isn't threebetting light, although he is calling 100% of my threebets so he probably isn't giving them much credit, and i suspect he's playing some 6 max tables so isn't paying too good attention, and therefore thinks im threebetting lighter than i am.
He's generally passive, often not thin vbetting.
My question is flop and river, i assume people tend to have a pretty balanced frequency of decisions on them.

PokerStars GAME #12725073366: HOLD'EM NO LIMIT ($3/$6) - 2007/10/19 - 18:04:25 (ET)
Table 'Devota III' 2-max Seat #2 is the button
Seat 1: heybude ($806 in chips)
Seat 2: adsanman12 ($990.50 in chips)
adsanman12: posts small blind $3
heybude: posts big blind $6
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to heybude [Qd Kh]
adsanman12: raises $12 to $18
heybude: raises $48 to $66
adsanman12: calls $48
*** FLOP *** [Ac Kd 6s]
heybude: bets $90
adsanman12: calls $90
*** TURN *** [Ac Kd 6s] [7c]
heybude: checks
adsanman12: checks
*** RIVER *** [Ac Kd 6s 7c] [3s]
heybude: bets $174

Flop I assume we check a good amount but what about river?

c/c is way better, I agree. You can't value bet like that on ace high boards. If you want to turn your hand into a bluff, trying to push him off a weaker ace, you also won't suceed because noone believes bet check bet line.

I guess I shouldn't even post in high stakes but when I first looked at the hand I thought c/f>c/c>b/f>b/c

Torn between c/f and c/c because I couldn't figure out a hand he'd fire with that we beat and it doesn't sound like he's going to turn a hand like 56s into a bluff here. His range is also weird, does it ever include 88/99/broadway gutshots?

Also, would this be considered a "combo bet"?

put all his ranges together, and betting isn't as good as checking, and calling sucks once he bets after we check riv, but his calling range once we c/r is so small that i think you should love c/r hhere

I used to play with this guy when I played $400NL a while back. He calls preflop 3-bets pretty light (this has nothing to do with you, it's just something he does) and is not very aggressive postflop. Check-calling the river is terrible against this guy because of his passivity. He probably has an ace here and might lay it down if you bluff big on the river. Although better is probably betting big on the turn against him. From what I remember he's more liable to give you credit for a big hand if you appear to be playing it in a straightforward way rather than making "deceptive" plays like checking the turn and betting the river. I remember him making some donkish payoffs when I bet top pair on the flop, checked the turn and then bet the river.

c/r river is sick. gabe i <3 you.

betting river for value is just wayy too thin, i could see him calling worse but also folding better just depending on his mood.

I kinda like the fact you bet the flop because it makes hand reading easier.
