Why would anyone do that? There are lots of these shortstackers out there already, good thing that many of them play pretty bad. Especially at Party it's a huge problem. The easier it is for people to find out how to play a shortstack profitably, the more of them there will be out there and the better those shortstacks will be. And then all the regular players' winrate will be lower, why would we want that...

maybe you could just disguise it inside some boring thread no one ever reads lol...

I know this last hand made no sense... its because i was planning on giving up on the river, and then a timing tell made me pretty sure he had a missed draw.

Most of the time he was getting his great hands in on the turn taking the line he took. Of course sometimes this is a T with maybe a weakish kicker or strong kicker, and sometimes its something like top set or JJ.

Considering it most of the hands he plays hes not confident hes ahead, when i checked the river intending to give up because of an aggroish image, he nearly instantly bets 2/3rds pot. I thought that with a medium hand here he actually would really have to consider whether to bet or not, but he doesnt. So I think it's either top set or a missed draw. Since there's more combos of missed draws i decide to raise.

Seriously, though. Is he a winning player? I can't figure out how shortstacking can actually make money in today's game climate.

I cant tell if you were being sarcastic but it made me LOL.

Guys the secret to poker is to use bold, aggressive plays and put opponents to decisions for all their chips.

First part was a joke. Second super super serial.

I'm just really bad at shortstacking, I guess. From the looks of my results to date, I'm bad at everything but LAG. Weird.

I should probably post all my 2/4 inquiries in this forum since it's deader than that drifter I killed so I could get and erection. Villian was a nit variant, and I'm proud of myself for getting max value from him. Shut up.

UTG+1 ($342.20)
MP1 ($474.60)
MP2 ($236)

Preflop: Hero is CO with J, Q.
2 folds, MP1 calls $4, 1 fold, Hero raises to $20, 3 folds, MP1 calls $16.

Flop: ($46) 3, K, Q (2 players)

That play by opp could actually mean he's potentially a very good player.

My read is that on boards like that nits either have it or are bluffing.

I think wufwugy's range is a lot of A high, and someone whos capable of vbetting that thin is pretty scary.

However, you're right, the play really sucked, but the thought process seemed good.
