Blinds 400-800 + antes

Hero has 88 in the SB, with 20k chips, both villains cover

MP1 has been very active, and MP2 pretty much always either calls or raises MP1...

MP1 raises to 1999, MP2 calls, all folds, HERO?

Pot is 5500, what do we do and why. What is the cutoff hand where we would do something different?

So there arn't any hands you prefer to push with here?

Always prefer to raise, then shove flop to get some more hands to fold...?

It's because of your stack size and position. The SB sucks, but it does lend itself to the raise and shove since you will be first to act post-flop.

If you had 10k-15k I just push.

20k is a barf spot here. They're setting up the squeeze for ya, so you should take it. I barf even more if one of them responds by going all-in.

let's say MP1 is really tight.

then we just call right? a good general rule is call with small PP when it equals 10% of your stack or more. or is that just weak given our stack size.

we're hoping for a set. no set then we fold. maybe we could push a J high flop?

i guess specifics on stack sizes matters now that we've changed the scenario a bit. also table image? if we raise... on a squeeze... tight MP1, who could have AJ+, TT+, could shove over. granted... we're ok with a race and our stack size. he probably won't shove over with AJ, AQ, TT. which means there is a 63% chance he'll shove over.

to sum up again... my basic question is... what is our play if MP1 is a tight rock?

Chard -yea, once you raise arn't you pretty much committed? MP1 was loose, but definitly a good player (he finished 2nd in stars HU 10k event)

We do have 12600 chips left once we raise which is okay, but im not sure if folding to a push is terrible or not...

If we assume if MP1 is tighter, this is a much easier flat call pre? Like you said if I had 10-12k yes it would be a push, but with 20k, ugh..
