Hey, on the OP you mentioned playing live tourneys as well as online. Played any/many yet? How have you gone in those?

I played in three.
Due to the exceptionally high buyin (for me, $100), I'm limiting them.
Also, I live on an island, so proper live tourney's don't come along very often.

That said, I cashed in all of them, w/ a fifth placing being my best (good for about $600).

Odd thing though, I had two 6th places and one 5th.

Today was Bad Beat Day.
I dropped more than 8 buyins to the most outrageous beats.
Over and over again I've been beat by the silliest hands. But then again, I'm not angry, because everytime I put an opponent on just the hand he had, got all his chips in, me being at least 5:1 fav (yes, at least 5:1. not 3:1 against obv. flush chasers), but i was still outdrawn on rivers.
Man, its crazy.

The last one, I had K9 he had AT. Position be damned, I raise to steal (blinds 75-150), he min-reraises, I call (due to odds).
Flop comes K-9-6. I bet, he calls.
Turn is a A. I check (knowing by the way he played he has an A and will therefore bet), he bets, I CRAI, he thinks about it, calls. He has me covered about 17:15.
River came a 6.

I don't have the HH handy since I quit the app as soon as this happened. I'm done for today.
(this happened on a $10+1 SnG on UB. Maybe I should exclusively start to play $20+2 instead. Less donks over there.)

And again another good call, just to get fucked up by the river again

Ultimate Bet No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t30 (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver Cards)

MP2 (t1695)

Button (t1425)
Hero (t1730)

MP1 (t1280)

Preflop: Hero is SB with , .
UTG calls t30, UTG+1 calls t30, 2 folds, MP3 calls t30, CO calls t30, 1 fold, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: (t180) , , (6 players)

Turn: (t720) (3 players)

River: (t2160) and he rivers the motherfucking nuts

Hero has 6h 5h (straight, nine high).
MP3 has 9d 8d (full house, nines full of eights).
Outcome: MP3 wins t2500.

Even when I get lucky I get fucked. This HH in specific, for whatever reason, the UB client wouldn't allow me to copy it. But I showed UB who's boss and copied it anyway:

My stats for the game. as you can see, I've been really tight, but still had to fold my premium unconnected hands.
I think I'll go back to my more passive play early. It works much better for me.

Basically, this sums up today. This same shit, over and over again.

My God.

Today I bubbled 4 times. How is that for a personal record?
Anyway, notes:
AK= no good. Fold to allin reraise.
Two Pair= no good. fold to two overcards.

And again I'm hit by 5-outers and the like. Time for a break.

My stats were:
Showdown Win% 55.6
Dropped down to
40.7

This is a huge leak. I'm overplaying, and showing down weak hands alot of the time.

Basically, I have to learn to get away from hands. Even more than I already do. And get back to the way I was playing.
That is, play the situation, not the cards.

In other news:
I made a (more or less) triomphant return to ring games.
However, even here people hit flushes agains me on the river every single time.
If you are in a hand against me chasing a fucking flush, get all your chips in 'cause it will hit the river. Always. Without fail.
Still, I lost about $60 playing SnG's today, but made about $60 playing cash.
Break-even is better than losing. Oh well.

Ultimate history is probably the single most annoying thing in the known universe. Why can't UB offer some sort of decent HH thing, kinda like PS does?

Brainless chimps.

Up till now, I used to post a lot of hands on these boards for review. Tnx all at FTR for this help.
From now on, I'll only post, say, weekly. I've found my concentration lags a lot when I instapost like this.

Of course, when concentration lags, it means decreased profit, or even (gasp!) losses.

Also, I'll be withdrawing some cash to put internet at home.
This "uni-yard hustling" thing is starting to get the best of me.
