I did this tournament a few days ago on FullTilt. Its a 50$ buy-in with 50k guaranteed and 12 min blind levels. I did OK, got semi deep but nothing really that special. Havent really been doing all that great lately, so hopefully you guys can find something to help me.

No comments? I would think at least mich_alumni would comment, as i was to his left for a good part of the game. Kinda being a jerk (though im not that way, i just felt like having fun) to him when i took a large pot from him.

No one has n e comments, criticisms or suggestions?

reviewing tourneys takes a long time - I won't be able to review any for at least a month.

I'll look over this tournament, I think I remember it because you woke up in the bb with AA when I had QQ in the small blind. I wanted to isolate the min-raiser, obviously to win/go deep in a tournament you need for that type of thing to not happen to you (or even better to suck out with QQ there). I also remember the chatter a bit, but I don't think it bothered me too much, I usually am playing far too many tourneys. I'll compare with my notes and respond this weekened....

Hand 1 -- just call the turn, you want the overcall. I think if you don't put either player on diamonds -- which clearly you aren't worried about given the flop action then the 10 really isn't a scare card. I'd call the turn hope for an overcall. On the river I have position on the raiser so I think you can blow up the pot there if you want.

Hand 2 -- this is fine, I prefer to fold these types of hands facing a raise. You need to be able to fold these hands if a Q or J flops if you are going to play them.

Hand 3 -- 5x the bb is way too much, make it 60 or 80, in this position I''d prefer 60 earlier pos I raise 80.

Hand 4 -- I fold pre. This hand just got you in a terrible spot when your king flopped. If you make the diamond flush its not the nut-flush, I am not a fan of Kxs.

Hand 5 -- I like it, its good you can just check/fold mid pair there.

Hand 10 lol @ comcat limping KK UTG.

Hand 14 -- nice Smile

Hand 20 -- I make it 400 to go, I'm not limping AJ here.

99 hand -- how much was the raise?? You have an awkward stack so I guess a fold is fine, but for a 3x raise I might be tempted to call here and set mine if the stacks are right.

Hand 22 -- nice call.

Hand 23 -- I never call with KQ here facing an UTG raise. I don't get why you will call with KQ but fold 99 facing a raise. KQ absolutely sucks here, its generally domianted.

Hand 26 -- if one of the big stack behind you shoves are you folding??? If not I just prefer you shove here instead of call.

Hand 27 -- I don't mind raising here to 400 either, I am ok with just calling out of position too.

T 9 BU (M = 15.59; f+f+f+f+f+f+F) I'm stealing here
9 T MP2 (M = 7.48; f+f+f+F) <-- I'm probably stealing here

Hand 29 -- I'm totally check raising this. I think you lost a bet here. These days almost everyone c-bets just check to him, he will almost always bet. Then you can re-pop him.

6 3 SB (M = 8.96; f+f+f+f+f+f+c+F) I call here

Hand 31 -- I fold pre-flop, KQ offsuit in early position is really hard to play.

Hand 32 -- ahh big hand you vs me... I of course had the 8 3 of hearts for a flush draw. I think we both played it fine.

Hand 34 -- Raise or fold pre, I don't mind either here, but take control of this pot. Blinds are too high now to keep limping. If you raise make a c-bet. As played I think I c-bet once the blind checks it.

Hand 35 -- My Q2 was by far the best hand Smile

6 5 CO (M = 11.68; f+f+f+f+f+F) -- raise this hand
7 5 CO-1 (M = 11.65; f+f+f+f+F) -- raise this hand

Hand 36 -- we have different types of hands we steal with and different positions. I hate stealing the button, it just doesn't work much anymore these days. I also like stealing with small connected or suited connected cards. I don't like stealing with suited cards like 10-2.

Hand 37 -- I like.

T K MP2 (M = 6.08; f+f+f+F) I'm raising.

Hand 38 -- oh hi der AA. Blind vs Blind I'm obviously isolating vs the min raiser... again if you wake up with KK or AA too bad for me. Nice hand though, I played it right, you played it right and that's that.

T K BU (M = 4.85; f+f+f+f+r+f+F) <-- this might be a shove if you have a re-steal stack.

Looks like you played pretty well, I think I steal more than you do in general... Soupie always tells me, there comes a point in the tournament where you are screwed if you play or you don't play so you may as well play... I think you let your stack diminish too much without trying to rip off some blinds, or re-steals to at least preserve your stack IN RELATION to the blinds.

At some point you just gotta make things happen. You folded 42 hands in a row -- with your image after the first 10 I'd be ripping off some blinds. As much as we berate donkeys for playing too loose early playing too tight late is as much a crime, you simply need to take risks and cannot afford to let your stack diminish like this.

Overall though I think you play a pretty good game, I'd work some on your LAG style.

I think in general you should have raised some more preflop. Only hand i really have to comment on is hand 26. Are you folding to a push here? If not then I would push.

Actually, the 88 hand that i called the all in with was a misclick. I wasnt really paying attention and didnt notice that he pushed. Not sure if i would have called if i was paying attention.
Thanks a lot AApoker, i really appreciate it. I tend to not resteal, because more often than not i just screw myself over. I thought that if i waited, especially with that blind structure, i could pick up a real hand that could dominate other hands people would call with. But you are probably right, i should have mixed it up a little.
Thanks a lot
