and for the record, it does irritate me a bit when people say untrue shit about me that's way beyond "friendly banter" (just take my word on this) for over a year despite knowing that a lot of people read the forum and will take it at face value. gabe in particular knows both parts of this because we've talked about it quite a bit.
poker has taught me to have easily the thickest skin of anybody I know so I'm not going to agree with you in that "it's too much for me". I know you only selectively enforce the rules around here and what not, but the fact that I've been here for a couple years and have really never once complained about anything should alert you that if I say something is bothering me a little bit, maybe it really is legit. Just a thought. |

I ASKED you first because i didnt want to start a thread out of the blue to piss you off, bother you, upset you, or what not. Fair enough if you think some of the stuff stated wasnt true (wasnt anything i said), but i still think its pretty weak that you said its ok knowing what was going to be said and then just delete a thread that i had your permission to create. Anything Gabe says really shouldnt bother you. We had a conversation about Gabe and how blunt he can be in vegas. You know him as well as anyone, and you know most of the stuff he says shouldnt be taken to heart. Either way im going to drop this now. |

Way way way too many people at FTR take instances just like this one way too seriously. I've seen a lot of what I would consider good-natured banter between online compadres turn into bitch-fests because sarcasm obv does not travel well over the internet. Why are people constantly offended/hurt/annoyed when someone they have never met face-to-face cracks a joke about their internet persona? Why do you care Lukie (or anyone for that matter) what we think of you? Are you going to change? Do you lose sleep over it at night? Will our perception of you alter your life significantly in any way/shape/form?
It's the interwebs, so who cares how people perceive you? It's not like Im going to see Lukie on the street, point and laugh and go up to him with my friends and tell them how unballer he is. That would be a waste of time; I could just point and laugh and tell them without approaching him in the first place.
