What are your opinions on this play, considering that this is within the first 10 hands I saw opponent play, and haven't noticed him in that time.
I call the min raise because of my OESD, and the turn bet is either weak, or is asking for a call. If he was wanting a call on the turn though, wouldn't he value bet the river?
Does my river bet seem out of place with my actions - particularly does it look like I have an A here?

I'd fold the turn almost everytime, that was a bad card.
Do you normally raise TJo from the HJ?
As for the river, his check does looks kinda weak but I'd like to know if villian can fold here. |

Will he fold 88? Doesn't he have QQ quite a bit?
He makes the donk play of betting on the turn what he essentially (with the raise) bet on the flop.
So, let's assume he doesn't have an Ace. I think your river bet is too big. I believe $15 will get the job done just as easily as $20-$25. It's a good spot to bluff b/c unless he has QQ he's not c/bombing the river. He should have led an Ace here and he should definitely be capable of folding a flush/8's full. |

The only reason I would do this is if a flush draw is a large part of his range right?. I'm getting good odds here otherwise. I'm much more concerned about the turn call. If I had any read that he was in any way a solid player it would definitely have been a fold.
I don't think this villain has QQ here very often at all. That's from a general average player here read, not player specific.
I can see that the bet might be too big. I would probably bet less with an A, and a donk with a Q might check/call any bet here. |
