Can some of the season players suggest some good books for me to read?I would like something that is easy to understand without all of the odds, that confuse me.I know you have to understand odds to become a good player, but right now Im looking for something that will improve my game.

Improve your game without understanding odds? Hrm...

Go to the front page of this site and study the starting hand charts.

Follow the way he playes them as far as how to bet with XX in a given situation.

After that either raise 1/2 to 3/4 the pot or fold, never just call.

That should get you started, but realy... without understanding odds you don't have much of a chance.

McEvoy's book is good re: NL. The green one, not the Cloutier one.

I wouldnt recomend that book to start with. Its pretty complex for a beginner.

Doyle Brunson, the abridged version.

Put your opponent to difficult decisions constantly. Achieve this by ungodly aggression. Pick up all the small pots and use this profit to gamble in the big ones.

That's all you should really take from Doyle.
