1. In Hand 11-15 you're trying to extract maximum value with KK in the BB after the table has folded to the SB who completes. You're in the middle of a SNG, 6 players, your M and the SB's are ~12. What's your play pre-flop? What's your play when the flop comes KJ4 rainbow and SB bets $60 into a $240 pot? When the turn comes an A and SB makes another small donk bet?
2. In Hand 11-18, what do you think of the range Harrington puts the conservative BB on? 6-handed, you raise to 4xBB with 66 and the BB goes AI with an M of 6.5, giving you exactly 2:1 pot odds. Harrington thinks that 40% of the time BB has a higher pair, 50% of the time he has two overcards, and 10% of the time he has a bluff or semi-bluff. What do you think?
3. In Hand 11-26, it's down to the last three players of a SNG, blinds are 500/1000 and the shortstack goes AI for his last 1230. You have 2380 and A8o, BB has 6890. Do you re-raise AI or call and hope BB calls and you can check it down? |

1. My pre-flop play is to either check or do a min raise($60). Once the flop comes KJ4 rainbow I either call the $60 or do a min raise again. When the A comes on the turn I bet between 1/2 and 3/4 the pot.
2. First off notice that this is similar to the problems on pages 223 to 227. We discussed the problems on pages 223 to 227 in our http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/forum/poker-45365.htm thread(our problem numbers 2 and 3).
A key difference is that on pages 223 to 227 there are 8 players at the table and here there are only 6 players. I agree with Harrington's analysis for the most part. Depending on the timing of the BB being whittled down and the way he handles adversity/tilt there could be an even greater than 60% chance that he does not have a pair bigger than ours.
3. I re-raise AI. |
