OK, I guess now it's time to start one of my own targets (it's only taken me a month to be bothered!).
My goal is:
Bankroll of $200 in PokerStars by New Year
I'm currently at $92.25 and I'm mainly playing .05/.10 NL.
I'll do an update on this topic like every two days or something, and I'll put something in my sig aswell. |

27/11/04 - End of Today's Play
Bankroll - $91.45
Here's how I'm 80 cents down on the day. Being an upholding FTR citizen, I entered the gauntlet event today, and of course did not make it into the money.
So now $11, I played .05/.10 NL for the rest of the day to get it back up. And I swear, I must've played about 10 different tables in 2 hours. All the tables I joined broke up eventually. So tiny bit by tiny bit, I got the BR back over $90.
33 days to go. |

Can't you safely play higher stakes with a 90 dollar bankroll?

You are so mean rilla, have a heart. If he wants to play at that level let him! He wont make any money but we can humor him until he finds out otherwise
I asked him and he says he doesnt know what he wants to do.... Me being the open minded guy I am I am going to suggest the limit game for ya. Its easy to track your play and theres less risk involved than NL. Plus, you know, only cool people play Limit. |

Oh, I thought he was playing .05/.10 Limit. Which would be silly. Dwarfy, don't let the MAN tell you what you can or cannot bet on any given street! You're your own dwarf, be free!
And since you're *obviously* going to stick with no limit, I suppose that limit would do you nicely.
Give 'em hell.

I fiddled with limit for about a month, but to be honest, I really didn't like the game.
I find myself making better decisions and making more money in no limit.
And I don't want to move up to .10/.25 NL yet because in that stakes I could easily lose a quarter of my bankroll in one session. I'll move up once I'm at $200. |

I'm pretty much with you there dwarf. Limit is wearing away at me and I'm about to throw in that particular towel.
I would join in on Operation crumpet if you would generalize it (double my bankroll by Jan). |

I think .05/.10 NL ($10 buy-in) is perfect for Dwarfman's bankroll.
In fact, when I get back from vacation, I just might join you! |

As some of you on mIRC have heard, I have had a very horrible run this past week, ending up in me losing 80% of my bankroll.
That means my current BR is now $12.38, this means I shall have to set a new target.
New target = $50 by New Year.
Here we go again! |

BUST!
I got fed up of the micro NL fish outdrawing me so I played 2 SnGs, losing both of them, so I'm now officially bust.
Hopefully I can find a friend to re-stake me, but probably not, so back to practice on play money with me .
I don't want this thread unstickied yet because I may be able to reload and set a new target. |

Righto, now that I have some more money deposited in stars, I guess it's time to revamp Operation Crumpet!
Today, I have $71.01 in my PokerStars account. I am playing .01/.02 NL Holdem.
So, my aim is to have $100 in my account by 1st February 2005, so I can safely move up to .05/.10 NL.
So the challenge starts now!
Current Bankroll: $71.01
Days Left: 51 |

So far so good. I am going slowly, but surely, I am still on track to make $100 by February.
I am now on $74.06 and I have 42 days remaining.
This means I shall have to make $0.61761904761904761904761904761905 per day! |

Woooooo I've been on one heck of a run lately. I might even get the $100 done with by January. But we'll see.
I am now on $90.14 and I have 39 days remaining.
That means I shall have to make $0.25282051282051282051282051282051 per day! |

I completed stage 1 of Operation Crumpet!
I'm now at $107.34!
I need to set a new target but I can't think of one right now. Later. |

OK. I have decided upon a new target. I probably won't get near the target though as it will be too tough to keep winning consistantly.
My target is to increase my bankroll by 1% every day for the rest of the year.
I will set my targets for every week according to the 1% increase per day.
It will be ridiculously hard but I hope I can do it.
Today is Sunday 2nd January and I have $102.19 in PokerStars.
That would mean I need to make a profit of $1.02 today.
Sound like a good idea?
So with a lot of maths, I have worked out my overall target to be achieved by 31st December 2005:
Year Target: $3822.86
Mmmmm. |
