It has been said before that the competition online is more difficult than in B&M room. That is very true.
I took only one beat over the course of 2 full days. I have to admit that it did not phase me whatsoever. It does, however, illustrate the point that there are some piss poor players out there.
I'm in EP with AA. $300 NL, 1/2 blinds. I make a standard raise to $10, wanted a little action and anything bigger could scare everyone away. I get 4 callers. One of them is an old asian guy on the button. He only has about $100 in front of him, I was sitting on about $700. My read on him was that he was a poor player who played just about anything. I am brilliant.
Flop brings 427 rainbow. I decide to slowplay my AA and let somebody catch up. Everyone checks. Turn brings another 4. I didn't think that helped anyone so I check again. Old asian guy bets pot $50. I raise over the top to put him all in.
I proudly turn over my AA and he tables 42os stating- "I have foool haaause, sometimes I get crazy, ha ha ha!"
The guy next to me had the honor of busting old asian guy soon thereafter and racked my chips.
Everyone at the table including me and old asian guy just laughed at the play. It cost me a hundred bucks but I got it all back within the next hour and called it a night.
I don't think this qualifies as a "bad beat" as I was only ahead before the flop, but it does qualify as some piss poor play. |
