I used to be somebody who made fun of people that played MMORPGs. Now I am one of those people. If I'm not around on the forums as much over the next few months, World of Warcraft is the reason. It just sucks that I now have an addictive hobby that costs me money every month instead of making me money. Oh well....
On a side note, if any of you are playing WoW tell me your handle and server and maybe we'll run into each other online. |

Im planning on getting WOWC but i have no info on it, is it anything like Diablo II?

| Yeah, first MMORPG I've ever played too. Can definately see how they can get pretty addictive(Probably shoulda waited till after finals to buy it). Anyway, I play as Sandro on the server Deathwing. |

I'm a nerd... I actually beta tested WOW, but I play EQ2 to relax from poker  , but after you play games for so many years its easy to get up and walk away from them.
My fiance however is addicted to WoW. |

My wife actually started playing WoW today....
God help this household.... 
I'm playing as Garrek (a human rogue) on server Eredar. My wife is Anadel (a night elf hunter).
If anybody else happens to start playing on Eredar, let me know and I can hook you up with leather armor that I can make with my leatherworking skill....GAH! I sound like such a nerd!! Make it stop!! Serenity now! |

Yes and no. Your characters have skill trees that are very similar to Diablo II, and the fact that magic items have different color lettering in their titles is kind of similar to D2....but there's really a world of difference. The world of WoW is huge. The combat is far more involved. I only played offline in Diablo 2, but I had characters who you could play with very few brain cells and one mouse button. WoW's combat is quite a bit more involved with many more options as your character advances in levels. It's way more like Everquest than D2, but I'm guessing you've never played Everquest either (nor have I). |

D2 is awesome man, ii was a hammerdin ie Paladin that uses bless hammer, i kicked ass, and yeah if you play offline the game sucks but online the game is awesome and it takes some skill to be good at it.
