Hey, gang...I'm interested in knowing what kind of stakes/limits/etc. you play most often. I'm sure I could find out by sifting through the 5 or 6 posts that appear in the various forums, but i figured this might be the fastest and most interesting way to find out.
So, what stakes/limits/etc. do you play the most (on-line or live)? |

Casino Live: $2/4 Limit and $200-300 NL $1/2 Blinds - I have not played live a whole lot.
Home Game: Tournament format - 7-8 people buy in for $10 and get T1000. Tomorrow night will be the first time I have had a home game at my house, we will see how it goes. I was pushing for a ring style - in case someone busts out fast...they won't have to sit there the rest of the night. We may have to adjust the format in the future...this will be an every other week thing. Any FTR member in the Charlotte NC area is welcome to play
Online: MTT Tournaments - $5+1, $10+1, $20+2, $30+3
SnGs - $5+1, $6+1Turbo, $10+1, $15+1Turbo $20+2, most of them are two table SnGs...If I am impatient or can't find a two table I will occasionally play a one table.
Ring - $.25/.50 NL, $.50/1 NL, $.50/1 Limit (very rarely) |

I play $10 SNGs when I have $200+ in account, $5 otherwise. Sometimes it's otherwise 'cause I've been screwing the pooch, and sometimes 'cause I've cashed out.
In rings I play .05/.10 through .50/1 NL. elipsesjeff made me play 1/2 Limit once 'cause there were allegedly all these fish in the pond. He owes me $10 for that.
When you return my copy of Super/System, I'll play some more Stud HiLo. Can't hack it without Sklansky's cheat sheets. |

I've been just playing .50/1.00 limit online. Played NL a couple times, after 20 minutes I couldn't find the sucker, then I realized who it was, and I went back to limit.
Went twice to a B&M casino and came out ahead both times playing 2/4 limit. I think it's easier to beat than online, but only have the two times to judge with.
Gonna try 1/2 limit at IP to clear the $100 Bonus, if I go bust we can add the to elipsesjeff's tab too. |

Online:
I very rarely touch a NL or Limit ring, but if I do its low stakes. Currently I am play Omaha .5/1 and 1/2. However my mainsay is tourney's
I play 10-50$ tournements.
Other games:
I've been invited to two home games and never invited back after cleaning them out, and currently searching for more . |

*I* don't even know what "crack-a-lackin" really means. Hell, I don't even know what any of these words mean. All I do is chew on my keyboard and every-so-often a sentence is born. Though, some days I get angry and just mash them with my huge gorilla hands.
(Ladies: HUGE gorilla hands.(And we all know what THAT means))

I aint make you do nothin! You lost that money to me fair and square, its not my fault I could see your cards $10 at 1/2 is nothing LeFou, you can and will make that back once you win 1 hand, you need to stop playing all that junk and stuff. I mean, who here actually plays anycards other than AA anyway.....

Okay, but then i get 50% of everything you make...now who's got the better deal? 8-) Oh, btw, dont let me see you on those 1/2 tables, if you know whats good for you. I'm gonna sit right next to you and bother you every time.

geez, some of you guys are WAY outta my price range!
I gave up OL play -- partly because I cancelled my net service. But when I was still OL, I'd play 5+1 SNGs mostly.
I don't have the nerve to play 'illegal' poker too much, because I can't keep my mind on my game. I get paranoid, etc., so my game goes to shite. So card rooms don't see much of me.
I had been playing a .25/.50 ($50 max buy-in) NL home game, but that game became a card room and is now more expensive. I've started up a game that's a little closer to my comfort level: .10/.20 ($10 max buy-in) NL. Not a bad game; ask LeFou.
Anyone else in the Dallas area looking for a cheap game with people who don't like to Eff around too much? |
