Hey all, the local casino here is now offering NL games finally but not sure if I should look to move into them.

Previously they have offered a 30 person $90 buy-in tourney each thursday, $60 SNG's friday, and 510 LHE cash games (a whole 3 tables worth).

They have now added $200NL to the mix, but with blinds of 5/5. Given that the only exposure most people would have had here to NL is either the MTT/SNG or online, I have the following questions:

1. should this game be played if I can't adhere to BR management for it (eg don't have $8k offline BR to be rolled for it)?
2. should this game be played, even to try and build up my roll if I start with 1 buy-in, given that it is only a 20BB stack?
3. would you expect the game to be way soft given the lack of NL games for people to get experience in previously (as an aside, the LHE game is incredibly fishy, passive, call-station fest from watching it)?
4. would tight be right in such a game, or loosen up a little to maybe 25/10 style stats?

I'm thinking I might go down with just $200 one night and see how it goes, take a play for fun approach and keep any winnings as a start to building an offline BR but am really not sure if the game would be beatable enough in the short-term to make that an effective strategy. The other option is to just keep building my online BR to the stage I can pull out enough to stay rolled on and offline for $200NL, but am concerned that the casino may can the game if they don't get the players comapred to the limit game.

I would play the game without 8K bankroll. Just bring enough for one session. I would consider bringing at least two buyin though ($400) in case you get destacked early.
I would expect the game to be extremely soft. It's about as low stakes as you can get for B&M NL.
As far as tight being right...it depends on the game of course. If there is a lot of raising and loose calling of raises preflop, then yes, tighten up. If everybody's limping preflop, limp mediocre hands with them and outplay them post flop.
Remember - a lot of these low stakes NL games will have Axo being played from any position, and Blackjack is golden to them. So be reluctant to respect their preflop raises, but also don't be surprised to see some weird hands.
