sup man
this is PO$$E$$ED
let me give it to you straight

it is a matter of time before you go busto again
you need to get your shit sorted out before you can even think about poker
withdraw that grand from the poker site, and put it somewhere where you won't be wasting it
you could have all the talent in the world, but if you can't control your urges you will end up broke
have you heard of stuey ungar?
if not, I urge you to find out about who he was, and how he destroyed himself

also, I think you need to take a long hard look at what is driving you to play poker
in my opinion, I think you play poker for the same reason you take drugs

Down $340 since last update. Lost it like a true degenerate gambler too--playing like a donk at PL50 omaha and losing almost $200 playing blackjack (ugh, why don't I just give my money away?) . I'm actually slightly up at NLHE since last update, so I guess I gotta stick to that.

Current BR: $720

Why did you start "Get your shit together" because you wanted to get your "shit together" well fuckin start man. I was one of the worst tilters/br busting degenerates.

I took focus started with 500 bucks at the start of the month and I worked with it I havent played out of my bankroll i followed the rules to sucess and i think if you can follow these you will be a very succsessful player. You seem like you have talent but as freddy deeb says you can take the most talented player in the world and if he doesn't follow these 6 steps you can take a marginal player and turn him into a great one with these.

If you want want to "get your shit togther" start to realize or you are going to be busto real soon.

#1: Don't play while under the influence.
#2: Don't play any other games while playing poker.
#3: Don't play mad, don't play tired.
#4: Don't play out of my Bankroll.
#5: Manage my losses, horrible days leave, if the cards arnt coming leave.
#6: Take my profits, if i am winning, and I don't feel i am playing my A game leave.

Get your shit together man that was the purpose of this thread.

Haven't played poker for a while--been taking a break for almost two weeks now. Donked off some more money since I last updated this but my friend paid me back $1200 he owed me, so my BR isn't in too bad shape. Going away this weekend, but planning to start playing again on Monday.

Current BR: $1590

Since my other thread has basically become a blog of my self-destruction and my 'roll is getting disturbingly close to the felt, I figured I'd post a new, goal-oriented Operation thread to help get my focus back and start winning again
What the fuck is wrong with you man, You start a post like this and it's the same as the last one. Quit poker, get fucked and stop posting. Seriously, why do we want to watch you self destruct. If you want help to keep you on track then take the advice, get some help and do what you said you were going to do. How many people do you need to tell you your fucked up. They are just being nice but they are going to get tired of it and when all the responses stop you'll be alone and depressed that no one cares. Take a week off get it together and everybody here will help out best they can. Or get fucked up and fuck the world move on to whatever it is your looking for.

Looking forward to your recovery or obituary......... you pick Brick wall

Up $780 the past few days playing NL100 6max with a couple ill-advised and tilt-inspired but profitable stabs at NL200 and 400 thrown in. Still lacking discipline...

out of your br huh.........

your an idiot mate.

EDIT ^^^ Drunken comment.. I've actually been very impressed by the way this guy can upswing and have no doubts he is a very skilled poker player (probably alot better than myself). I made the comment because he is very skilled but wasting the skill if he plays with bad br managements - which is kinda silly wasting that much potential.

Everyone needs to get off this guy's nuts. He sounds like about 10x the poker player most people here are. So he's playing out of his BR--so what? And scared straight stuff like this

makes me laugh. I don't know, maybe I'm just old and jaded and have seen too much actual hardcore drug use, but the stuff detailed in this and the other thread hardly rises to the level of making the obituaries. So he rips too many tubes, goes busto and has to work the fry vat at Hardees, big deal.

Anyway, not that I'm condoning playing high and going broke--I think it's stupid--but let's not blow this stuff out of proportion.

No you had it right, I'm an idiot Confused. Predictably, playing out of my BR caught up with me, as I dropped a few hundred due to a downswing on Friday playing NL100, then proceeded to boot up a 400NL table and 3 200NL tables while on tilt rather than moving down stakes like I should have. Thirty minutes later, I'd gone bust twice at the 400 table and at the end of the session I was down $1360 in all.

After that disastarous session I decided to quit poker for good, but I've reconsidered today and am going to give it one more shot with the money I have left.

To all the haters/well intentioned advice givers--look in this thread or not, I don't care, I'm just posting here to record my progress and I will continue to do so as long as I'm playing poker. I've actually been taking it easy on the drugs and alcohol and haven't played fucked up in a long while, so that's no longer really even a problem. I seem to have developed a nasty sober gambling problem though.

Current BR: $1010

I think you are thriving on the the drama in this thread and the attention/worried comments you are recieving because of it. As long as this continues, it serves to reduce the chances of you giving up playing poker while on drink/drugs and also reduces the chances of you ever making it big in the world of poker. Therefore, for your sake, I believe this thread should be ignored.

I wish you all the best, this will be my last post in this thread.

So your theory is that I'm deliberately losing at poker/playing poker fucked up so people will respond to this thread. Ummmm.......NO. I am not "thriving on the drama in this thread." If you notice I don't even reply to the people who are telling me how much I'm fucking up any more. If I thrived on anything in this thread it's when people give me encouragement or tell me good job, and that only happens when I'm WINNING.

In this whole second operation thread I've mentioned playing while fucked up ONCE. And I've played while under the influence maybe 3 or 4 times since I started pt II. I go on tilt and lose even when I'm sober; that's what I'm gonna report in this thread if it happened, and I'm pretty goddamn sure I'm not doing it intentionally in order to provoke a response in here.

EDIT: It's fucking insulting when I've developed a gambling problem and you're telling me the real reason I'm losing massive quantities of money is so people will pay attention to me and respond to me on a message board.

Played terrible and lost $280 today. Should've been down more but I got lucky. I'm a degenerate gambler and not a poker player now. I have the skill neccessary to win but not the discipline. I just can't win long term anymore. Maybe I'll try again in a month or two, but I'm cashing out the rest of my BR and quitting for now before I donate the rest away.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to read my two op. threads and gave me advice and encouragement, and to FTR regs like Lukie, Fnord, Gabe, etc. who helped me improve my game with their posts. Best of luck everyone.

Peace.

Best of luck man. I've been watching your thread and wish you nothing the best. Just try not to feed the urge to keep playing or to cancel that deposit... and the way you should do it is by saying "are you having fun".

Remember that now. Are you having fun?

You might have some fun, but in the end you are going to say "No, I'm not having fun". Just keep that as a reminder and best of luck to you with everything. What are you planning to do now?
