What? Nobody's betting on the world cup?
I'll be honest...I bet on the US +.5 against Czech...and promptly got my nuts kicked.
But don't worry. I'll do it again
Who's betting on the world cup and what are your bets? |

I had a £10 English pounds on the Dutch to win at the start of the tourney @ 15/1.
I've also permed all of the groups for the winners too. That's looking good but the French let me down yesterday. I still back him to win the group though. South Korea & Togo looked very average yesterday. |

todays picks
argentina
holland
mexico
I think a good side bet (if you can find it is Crespo or saviola to score first for argentina or either of them)
Ivory coast MAY get a point of the dutch which is maybe worth a bet but to be honest i cant see it. |

Group winners
A.
I think ecudaor is a good outside bet here, germans are shocking at the back.
b.
england of course, swedes suck too much upfront to beat a good team.
c.
argentina obv
d.
Again a close group but id say mexico are a lot better team than a lot have given them credit for. If the portugal vs Mexico game has any meaning then bet on portugal imo, but i doubt it will so maybe mexico as group winners?
e.
Czechs. Italy are not a bad outside bet for the cup however, theyll wake up in the later stages.
f.
brazil. obv
g.
the french suck badly, henry isnt all that on the international stage no matter how good is perceived to be in the premiership. Id go with the koreans and infact a possible side bet might be on the french not qualifying
h.
spain are awesome but will lose to the first decent team they play because again they are horrible at the back, however theyll win the group easily (bet on them getting 9 points). When the get a few decent central defenders they will win a tourney but not this time imo. |

| The Argies were awsome today. Brazil have great individuals, and England do as well, but no one has come close to their team performance so far. Their second goal against the Serbs was one of the best goals I have ever seen. |

I was about to tip Germany for today and realised they were already in front!
As for Sweden/England a draw is very possible.
Anyway, get on Spain or Holland to win the whole thing. Unlike, Argentina their odds are still pretty favourable and offer good value. Spain have been cut slightly but you can still get 9/1 whilst Holland's price hasn't changed since the WC began and you can still get 14/1. Get on! |

| Is anyone betting on the Sweden-Germany game? Right now the line is -150 Germany/+400 Sweden/+230 Draw. Betting on Sweden or a draw looks good. |

Don't bet on Holland, they have no chance. They have to go through Portugal and England just to make it to the semifinals, it's not happening. |

Tomorrow Germany will be facing Argentina in the quarterfinals. Argentina's squad has more talent and depth- however Germany has been playing some quality football, and Podolski and Klose have been playing well off each other in the last few games. I expect Argentina to pull through, scoring late in the first half and maintaining that leading/adding to that lead for the rest of the game.
In the Portugal-England game, Portugal will prevail against an overrated English team. Portugal's will be playing a 4-3-2-1 formation against England 's 4-5-1 formation. Even though Costinha and Deco will have to sit out, the game will remain scoreless until the second half, when Portugal will score and hold on to win the game 1-0. |
