Opp was a solid player, TAgg in the early levels but opening up shorthanded/as blinds increased. Opp clearly has a hand here. Call and stop 'n' go or push? Open push preflop?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t600 (2 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Hero (t5700)
BB (t7800)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 4, 4.
Hero raises to t1500, BB raises to t2400, Hero ?????

You've got less than 10xBB, id just push all in preflop after his stupid almost min re-raise. Any pair is good heads up, your only a dog to a higher pair and your both dealt a pair heads up slightly under 1 in 300 times, i can take those odds!

Theres a good argument for just open pushing here as well, if villan was trying to bully me here id just open push here to show some aggression, and hey, even if he called me ive got a good hand anyway..

Well you cant really pull a stop n go out of position. He will most likely bet the flop, I think you should just push here.

Hey retro69, did you come up with 1 in 300 chance of 2 people having pairs heads up or is there a site you got that from. If so which one...?

STIdrivr - Check out Harrington on Holdem Vol 2 in the heads up section, very good read, got some really interesting facts and figures like that one.

I have been told off for posting results previously, but he had KK - flop came 532 so I had lots of outs but didn't hit any of them unfortunately.

The hand has no postflop value
You're stack is push/fold.

You have to be OOP to pull a stop n go. You Call a raise and then push before your opponent acts on the flop, otherwise it doesnt have the same affect.

Anyways, you have less than 10BBs and a PP, you need to push this. Your best result would be a fold from your opponent, most likely you will be a coinflip or on the off chance he has a PP you will be dominated, but witht eh added FE this is a profitable push and with your stack size you cant try to get cute with a hand.

yes...but you know you had a pair already so that takes out all the times when both players dont have pairs...

50 unknown cards
opp is delt one...there is a 3/49 chance of the next one creating a pair.
note: this is ignoring the small chance that both players get delt the same pair...
