CARDSON
I got back from Atlantic City around noon yesterday very tired. The minute I turn on my computer, to check email before going to bed, I get an IM about a tourney. I've been on this bad run of tourneys over the past couple months, but I couldn't pass up this $50+5 fish tournament. 19 players, I busted 5 out of my table before we combined, two of them on the same hand.
Once we combined, I was dealt and another big stack had ; I raised small, he reraised small.
Heads up, the flop came . I checked to him, he bets his stack....... buh-bye. The weird part was the on the turn, I would have hated to see the on the river, as splitting the pot on my first royal would have pissed me off.
Down to 5 players, I took out the 2nd place stack with my 88 against his 77, with a trashy looking flop.
I wound up chopping it when heads up, because I wanted to play in the juicy sidegame where my friends were making a killing off the fish who had busted out. I cashed $360, 305 profit
5 hands into the side game, I have top set ace kicker, raise all-in, fish calls with top set and trashy kicker matched up (aka full house) there goes $100 of my profit. Next hand, and I do mean the very next hand, I have 89 on the button, flop 88T, checked to me, bet 10, the same fish check-raises to 40, I reraise all-in, he has 87. The turn is a 7......... another $100. I left as I was to pissed to continue. The weird part is that this idiot had won a $800 pot just before I sat down, when calling a huge all-in raise with a 10-hi flush draw.
Oh well, $105 profit for the sleepy guy, who wasnt even planning on playing. |
