Nh. An alternative is betting the flop, then check-raising the turn (against opps who like to call obvious cbets).

I am trying to figure out if this extracted more value than a c-bet would've. If he'd have had a smaller overpair, he might have called me all the way down.

It depends on his range IMO. If it only includes TT-QQ, betting all streets and hoping for a calldown is best. If all PP or even A5 are in his range, checkraising would be the better choice.

edit: If opp is aggro enough, just calling the flop bet and checkraising the turn might give max EV. Worst case scenario you're giving away 2 free cards to a 2-outer.

check call flop, checkraise/check push the turn if he bets bigger. I like to play AA as if it's a set with an agro player in the pot

If he checks behind, value bet the river hoping a weaker hand calls. I'd pretty much ignore another 5 or a diamond too, depending on his bet and previous play style

Why fold him out on the flop already? Not that much of a chance that he'll see an improvement on his TT+ pp, so I'd drag him out to the river. If he doesn't bet the turn, he is probably shaken up by your call, so then I'd minraise the river because he might atleast pay that.

Scare cards can come out to scare him out of a pot anyway.

Against people trying to put you off of AK, I love c/c flop, c/r turn.
