| What kind of info do you want? I played at many midwest tribal casinos throughout college. |

I've played at Morongo (near Palm Springs, CA).
Lots of teens playing there. I was actually very surprised, as I did not know that about the Indian casinos (they're not all like that). For that particular location, it seems that it's where the kids hang out in their spare time simply because there's not much else to do out there in the desert.
For the most part, they're pretty poor players. They were spewing on and on about pot odds, whether someone played something correctly or not, and generally talking way too much about their and other's played hands -- kinda like me when I first started learning to play. They're definitely regulars, but play and act like they're invincible because they just learned about pot odds. Typical newbie arrogance.
Several of them at my table played, bought back in, played some more, lost, and lost. The majority of them were Asian. And I know that culture. I personally did not grow up in an Asian community, but know enough about that whole scene to suspect that they were playing with their near-limitless allowance money. Restless kids. Rich parents.
Some were quite good, though. The quiet ones. Not the loud-mouths. |

| Tribal casino in AZ and SD both require you to be 21. I don't know if it's tribal policy or if they have to follow the same gaming regulations as the state. The whole sovereign nation thing gets complicated when it comes to Gambling. |

Indian Casinos here in Minnesota are the 18+ and the only type of casino around, but unfortunately none have poker.
I had semi-mixed-up views concerning the law of skill game betting here in MN so I decided to look it up before posting and I found this site which says that Hold'em tournaments are legal in MN so long as there is no house profit. I suppose that's why the casinos don't host them since they can't make a profit, but I think it'd be fun to host one so I can play for a small buy-in. There is hold'em limit ring games and NL tourneys at Canterbury Park here in MN but the buy-ins are too large for my current bankroll.
I wonder if I could find enough people in my area to set up a tourney since I now know it's legal. Hmm... anyone from MN and want to get in? |

I know this is really old and I'm bumping a dead topic, but what about Soaring Eagle (I think that's it) in Michigan? I'm from Ohio and wondering what the games are like, if it's worth the trip and everything.
Anyone been there and have experiences? |
