Last two players, heads-up, as even as possibly even stacks go at it, one loses and has 1-1000 chip left, the blinds are 2000/4000. Is the game over or do they keep playing? He wanted to keep going and proceed to win the next 5 hands before calling it quits against the other guy with over 130,000 in chips by then. I always thought it should be that if your heads-up and cannot make the big blind, the game is over. What is the rules/criteria around this?
Thanks,
Buckeye |

It's an automatic all-in.
Say hero has 1000, hero posts the BB, but can only pay 1000, SB pays, but only matches the 1000. Hero wins, now has 2000.
Next hand hero posts the SB, and is all-in again. BB has to call the 2000 (but gets the other 2000 back). Hero wins again, now he has 4000.
Hero is now BB again, so posts 4000 and is all-in. The SB can now call 2000 to complete his blind, if BB wins he has 8000, or if SB folds pre-flop the BB has 6000.
You know what to do from here. |

| No player is out provided they have "a chip and a chair" Friend of mine was down to 1 $5 chip with 7 players remaining and managed to place ITM at 4th |

Thanks, but I was really trying to get clarification on a "Heads up" instance; i.e. last 2 players. I just wondered what they do in major tounaments - like call it a day if the other guy can't make the BB after a beat when it's down to the last 2. |
