| got a home game tonight, with the regular crew. trouble is, people sometimes get a little too drunk. while i usually welcome this, i like their money as well as anyone elses, what exactly is the procedure if they decide to go and pass out? do you just blind them down to nothing, split the chips or just take them off the table? i know the rules probably say blind them down, but it seems awful tedious. any suggestions? |

I say before all play starts. Make an announcement that any player who cannot continue to play due to drunkeness will have their chips divided equally among the remaining players, and any claim to the prizes null and void.
This avoids a situation where someone is being blinded down, but an active player is eliminated, and puts a potentially inactive player into the money. |

Also, don't forget to add the stipulation that any player who passes out can and will be "decorated" with shaving cream, markers and razors while they sleep.
And I worship the ground FyrFytr998 walks on. |

You forgot the pictures Humph. Don't forget the pictures.
No point in having all that fun without a way to immortalize it. |

| i think that's the best idea fyrfytr, i just got home from the tourney, and luckily, the drunkest ones were out pretty early. i have to give props to some of the posts one here, as well as the stragedies on the home page, they made my play much better. my only trouble was when it got down to three players and i got too ballsy with half-assed hands that i normally wouldn't play. any ideas on where i can find how to play the shorthanded pots? |

| At beginning of game you make an announcement that "AWAY" players get 20 mins or 1/2 hour to return to their seat. Blinds will continue to be posted in their absence. If the player fails to return to the table it is easiest to just remove their chips from play, but it is also correct to split the chips among remaining players (more difficult). |

| steveO does the same thing i do. "gone" for 20 minutes and your chips get divided up amongst the table. oh and we have a shoe rule for drunkards that pass out. if you rememeber enough to take your shoes off before passing out you're considered safe.. forget and you get marker raped, pictures taken with the cheez it box. |
