This opponent is a fairly good, "solid" player. Fairly aggressive, but not overly so. He has a typical preflop reraising range, I think. What do you do here, and why?

I would call and lead a blank turn for 2/3 pot. If the turn is a scare card, then check/fold. I would seriously think about folding preflop though. I'm not sure stacks are deep enough to justify a call here, but I could very well be wrong.
dsaxton - are you playing only 6-max now, or do you still play full ring? Do you find that 6-max is a lot more profitable? I'm wondering because I'm thinking of playing a lot more 6-max. |

I have made more profit in the last week of 6max then I have in the previous months of sporadic full ring play. Mainly because other players give less credit for my bigger hands |

| bdawg56kg, if you are bored of full ring, give 6max a try. 6max is definately more profitable. That means the downswings are bigger also. If you can handle the swings and don't buckle under pressure, I would highly recommend 6max to you. If you like to multi-table full ring, I suggest starting out with no more than 2 6max tables. Playing 1 is the safest bet. Because you will be put to a lot of tough decisions, so almost every play is very read dependent. |

After his preflop reraise, his likely hands are A-A, K-K, Q-Q or A-K. But his vast flop underbet was very suspcious, I thought. I was actually planning on check-raising all-in until he made this bet. It seemed obvious he was inviting a call, possibly from an unbeatable hand. I reasoned that since he would have at least some interest in winning the pot right away with an overpair, top set, or A-K high, and since his bet was clearly inviting a call, A-K of spades was his most likely hand. I thought my implied odds for hitting a 4 outter were enormous, so I called. The turn brought a miracle 8 of diamonds, and the rest of the hand was easy.
