It definately wasn't wrong. You shouldn't chase expecting to hit one of your two outs. Over the long run this won't be profitable, even if you hit it now and then.

However, depending on the players you also could have reraised looking for a fold. As you could see after the fact, that bet was a bluff and both were on questionable draws. You would have won the hand even without the 4 hitting.

It looks like you were BB with 44 preflop and you have a decision to call a minimum raise with a stack of 1540. You are also out-of-position and middle stacked (#3 or #4) and 3 other opps are on the bubble. I would personally fold this bet in NL SnG and save the extra 100 chips. I would be more inclined to call the raise if on the button or I had closer to 2k chips (maybe 2nd chiplead) or if I had 99+. Essentially its just a waste oh chips (unless your 12% lucky) and 100 chips is fairly important with the blinds as they are and your chip position (being 3rd or 4th)

Oh the fold is easy to make on the flop. You miss the set, out-of-position, 3 other folks in. Caling 100chips does alot of damage to your chipcount... If your very shortstacked you can think about pushing AI now or on the preflop.

In your situation and b/c blinds are 50/100, you want to try and stay above 4th position and put as much distance between you and the current 4th position. The money you put in the pot should maybe limp money (you vs BB) or strong hands..

you wouldn't be feeling bad about the fold (which was a good fold given the circumstances) if someone had come out betting on the turn.

good call (errr, fold, you know what i mean Laughing ).
