I want to get into online poker, I am a decent player as it is, just here is the thing... My bank wont allow me to deposit money using my debit card because it is e-gaming or something
So, what is the next best way to deposit money online on say Party Poker... |

While IGM pay is the way to go at Party. Neteller is the most accepted depositing method at all other sites. Just think of it as an online escrow account. You send money from your bank to your Neteller account. And from your Neteller account to any poker room you want. It's also free, except for instacash purchases |

My recommendation:
First open a seperate bank account, without overdraft protection. Many banks will allow you to have multiple accounts, so only 1 has to have a min balance...or find a bank that has a checking account with a very low min balance. (This is to avoid any banking fees).
Then open a Neteller or Firepay account (I use Neteller). Tie your new account to Neteller. They will make a couple of small deposits to verify your account.
Fund your Neteller account. EFT takes about 4-5 days but is free. InstaCash is immediate but you are charged 8.9% of the amount.
Once your Neteller account is funded, you are able to deposit money into online casinos. |

| Jeez I think it is ABYSMAL that a bank won't let you deposit YOUR money wherever you see fit. If it's a credit card I could understand but this is your cash and surely if you wanna e-game it's up to you. |

Fraud claims are more prevalent with gaming transactions. Most banks don't want to deal with that. ("Honest, [honey, Mom, Dad, etc.], I didn't use the CC for poker!") |

If my bank had refused to let me use my debit card, I would have been straight down there to close my accout, how they could dare to stop me spending my money where I wish. Jeez they might not even let you buy porn soon |
