Has anyone here bought Turbo Texas or Poki's Poker? I'm fairly new to the game and I'd like to improve and fill in the gaps in my game.

I like the idea of being able to practice a bunch of speedy hands against a table similar to what I'd find online, and trying out new strategies without the risk of loosing money. However, the software is very pricey. So I wanted to get some thoughts on either of these programs before I throw my money away. I figure this would be a good place to ask.

Are the tables in these games similar to what I'd find online? Will these trainers help me play better against humans or only help me play better against bots? Does the software do a good job at simulating all types of tables (eg. loose/passive, loose/wild, tight/aggressive, tough tables, heads up, shorthanded, full table, etc.)? Will I get firmer and sexier looking abs if I buy this software? Is it really worth the price?

I guess the last question is the most important one, since my one pack ab is sexy enough as is. Thanks.

i've been pretty happy with Turbo Texas Holdem - although you have to watch some of their advice. i'm generally beating TTH when they think i'm playing way too aggressively post flop.

it's a great tool for running simulations (if you're into that) and you have a lot of control over the players and action.

i usually set a game to let the game pick my opponents, have them "adjust" during the game, and i set the raising to "just a little raising" to simulate a low limit loose-passive online game. it's nice because you can burn through 100 hands in 15 minutes.

search ftr - we've talked about TTH a bit.
