6 max tables.... How do you play Ax?

Personally, I don't even play it. Probably because I haven't figured out how to play it so its profitable so if someone has a strategy, let me know.

In shorthanded limit, I'll play down to around A4 if I can open from the button. Particularly if I have steal equity. Similar range for a steal defense against an aggressive player.

Yeah, that's probably correct for NL with small blinds. I guess it depends on how good of a post-flop player you are compared to your opposition and how much money is going in pre-flop. Reverse implied odds could easily come into play here.

I have been mucking it. I couldn't find a way to make it profitable. Sure I'd win a few pots with it but then sometimes I have trouble throwing it away when I hit that ace. I'm just gonna continue to fold it.

Its amazing how much money I've made the last couple days when throwing anything less then AT away (even out of the blinds). The first couple times it hurt for me to throw A9 away but after seeing the others with hands destroying mine, I'm soo glad I folded. I picked up $200 this afternoon just playing the 25NL tables. This is an adjustment I should have made earlier in my game and this helped me get my highest profit for the month.

Anything less than A9 offsuit I won't play except from the blinds. Axs I will usually throw away (though sometimes limp or raise) from the first two seats. From the CO or button I will usually play it, raising if I'm first in or there's only one limper in front of me, calling if there's two or more limpers or a small raise in front. Through 162 Axs hands (A9s-A2s) in Poker Tracker (on Empire 6 max $50NL) I'm at +$528.27, so this seems like it's working well for me.
