I'm reviewing this history a week after it happened, and I saw this hand, and even though I misrepresented my strength on the flop, I'm thinking I might have been able to call this all in. It wasn't a bad decision to fold, but I wanted to know what anyone else might think or do in this hand?

| My reanalysis of the hand is this. I call his raise. He pets the pot on the flop. This might be a buy with AQ AK. I reraise and then he goes all the way over. If he had a big pocket pair, I don't think he would have bet out on this hand. If he had AT or KT, I don't think you bet the pot in this situation. Looking at it now, over the top seems like a protection move or a fast played set. I'm not sure if he would have fast played a set here, but had he made the set, he could have smooth called the reraise, checked the turn and induce a bluff on the river for max payout... |

I don't think it's unreasonable for either of these scenerios to be true. Why wouldn't you bet pot with AT or KT here? You're vulnerable with a top pair ten. As for high overpockets betting this way, you definately see it because they're sniffing out a set by saying "I have something big, so don't screw with me without something bigger". Also, JJ plays this way most often. |

Why wouldn't he have bet out with a big overpair here? If you're slowplaying a monster here then you are not going to get paid off much by checking the flop and betting the turn. I think the over the top was a "I think I have a better hand than you but I have no idea if you are just on somecrap ass draw so pay up now pretty boy if you wanna chase" hand. Then again, maybe he just wants you to think that and has nuttin. |
