Or you could try a smaller raise to get him to commit more chips preflop since there isnt enough behind to punish you.

You don't really have enough chips to make a good size raise without putting 1/3 of your chips in already, so i think it's a push or call and if immediatly pushed the flop what do you do then? What's his table image, does he seem solid?

Most of the time if he slams the flop, he has an over pair or TPTKish. The problem is playing the flop with AA is playing against gamblers and their draws early in tournies. Your play looks good to me.

You made your hand way to obvious. I raise initially or jusr call the raise preflop. I think if he hits TP or has an overpair on the flop then you will easily get all his chips.

I raise to 700 and push any flop.

You seem to like this move a lot. I'd agree that you needn't push all-in on them when you got some of the result you wanted. To me, the push here (slightly less in the KK situation in your other thread, because the pot was larger and you have multiple people in it) is like screaming "Ha Ha! I tricked you!" preflop. I'd rather smile to myself and see if I could keep them in it a bit - letting them learn they were tricked when they've paid me off much more.

I think once you make it into sizeable blinds on many high stakes tables, a lot of the players are familiar with moves like this and won't be paying you off. So your tricks might need to be a little more tricky. I like the 700 line.

That said, my biggest leak currently is playing too tricky - pot commiting my opponent slowly enough that it allows them to draw out while only making moderate mistakes.

Getting aces against a big-stack raise is a dream come true... It just doesnt get any better. So why tell him to go away? Bump it up to 600 or 700 and get it heads-up. Good chance to double up off the big stack. Pushing is a waste of a great opportunity....

High pocket check raise preflop is still foreign to most players. It's becoming more common by the day however. Against an opponent I feel may know it, I just call and suck them in postflop.

Raise to 300 instead of just limping to start off with. That big stack at least calls, if not raises. Many times the best way to build a pot with a monster is just to play it straight forward (such as raising on the flop with a set when you think they have a good hand). Plays like this allow him to fold many hands that he wanted to play, and maybe he would've even reraised you preflop had you raised originally, and then been commited when you shoved. Your stack wasn't small enough for that 3xBB raise to commit him, which doesn't make the all in bad, but it makes the limp bad.

Its not necessarily that he knew you had AA. But there's tons of weak hands that makes sense to raise limpers with, or call a single raise with, but don't make sense to call an all in reraise with. Something like AJ was very possible.

If you're going to get tricky, I say raise 3xBB and then look to check raise the flop all in.
