The most successful bluff i've found is when 3 cards come down on the river and everyone checks it round, then the turn pairs either the lowest or middle card. If you bet a sizeable amount here people always fold, and when people do it to me i think, "he's bluffing" but i can't call it just in case he really did have one in his hand.
What does everyone else think about this. |

It really is an effective bluff, especially on a really tight table. I tend to play this alot from late position, but it all really just depends on how the table is playing as to how much I'm willing to bluff on possible trips.
Most guys I play with are fish(cash game), and you really can never know what they have from 9/2 off, to pocket A's, from the way they bet.
But more than likely, if it's a tight table, and checked around to me with a possible set, I'll bet it and take down the pot
Just my .2

| no matter the size bet I almost always get a caller in this situation. they think I'm either bluffing and want to keep me honest or also if they had mid pair on the bored that just happened to be higher than mine, but didn't bet into it because it wasn't a strong hand at all compared to the cards on the table. |

I'm in the same boat as Billy here. I play with a lot of guys that little or no idea when they are beat, so bluffing in this way would only work when it comes to the final table when all the fish have been eaten. I'll give it a try next time I have a chance.
My favorite bluff is in position after nothing but rags hit the flop and it's checked around to me. I see a lot of people bluffing when an Ace comes up, but the rags only bluff seems to work for me. |

Be careful. I like to bet middle and bottom pair with a big kicker. Someone might bite back. Also, as noted above, it will work best on a solid table. Some goof playing 92 suited probably will make the miracle set on the turn. |

As stated above....these seem like the idiots I tend to play with....but they get theirs reamed in the long run
