It's made by the same people who created Paragon Poker Pal, and it supports the same sites. (at least 112 of them)
Although the site doesn't really mention it, they appear to store the statistics in a central database that the program accesses remotely. (just like PokerEdge)
The fact that it supports about about 106 more sites than PokerEdge and displays all of the shown hands of any opponent are what drew me in. I still have to try it out for myself, and since it's so new there probably isn't much info on most players yet. So it's also probably too early for anyone to write a fair review on it.

Ya, not many players in the database yet, and those that were found had like 5 hands.
It's looking promising though. |

I've been using the Poker Sherlock for a couple of weeks now, and yes it is all that it's cracked up to be..... However, I don't expect any of you to take my word for it. Look what happened last time when I mentioned Poker Edge to you....
I was berated to all hell..... Boy that was fun too. I really liked it.
Any ways, the Poker Sherlock is freaking nuts. I should have some videos of it up on my site in the next few days.
I know you can get a free trial here.
*edit
The reason this thing is sweet is because if you play at rooms like Golden Palace, or even smaller places you can quickly have a read on a ton of the regulars. Sure I know you could do all that with your Poker Tracker too, but this thing is really awesome, and super easy.... |

Hi,
I just noticed this post, and so I sent a PM to Tyson and Corey to make sure that FTR gets deserved credit for all the refferals, as it's only fair since FTR spend time and effort running this board.
We appreciate all the great feedback and raves we have gotten via email so far.
Please use this link (and not ones above) to support your favorite forum. I sent Tyson all pertainning info, and a % will go back to supporting FTR!

You guys have a great thing going here... Keep it up! |

Hey Sherlock, I just got the new version, and I see you now have HUD support. Is there a way to change the stats I want dispayed on the HUD? |

Hi Curtis,
That's right, new version has HUD (heads up display), and is supported by most of the 100+ sites that we support including Party Skins, Pacific, Prima Network, and Poker Stars
To answer your question, YES! you can customize all the stats in the HUD as well as the ones in the dashboard in PokerSherlock. To do so, simply go to Options and you will see on the right site a list of all the stats and a capture of the HUD and Dashboard display. All you do is simply drag and drop the stats you want to the spot where you want them to show up. Pretty self explained once you are in the options menu.
Also, they have assigned me to monitor this thread and answer any questions you may have. So feel free to ask away. Or you can also email us with questions, will give you a chance to see the fast responses our customer service provides. |

The begining of the end...
Any time frame until Party Poker starts cracking down on player-profiling?
I know they say that it's a no-no in their TOS but to my knowledge they do nothing about it.
With all these Poker-EDGE and PokerSherlock programs popping up, they may start soon.

Hi Muxy,
We actually have close contact with Party and some of the skins, as well as some of the other poker networks. We make sure to run things by them and we usually get similar responses warning us that if we ever provided anyway for people to collude, or use a bot with our software, that they would no longer permit use of our programs.
It's funny actually, because every few days we will get an email here at PokerSherlock from some poker/programmer who asks if we can give them a plugin code of some sort of Developers Package, to enable him to plug in to our technology as they want to build a bot to play for them.
Our usual response to such begins by scolding them for their unethical thinking, and reminding them that while we believe in providing every available advantage to the online poker player, that we still uphold strong and ethical morals against cheating, colluding, or bot building. We only believe in the use of technology to provide users with automated information that they could otherwise manually calculate on their own if they wanted to.
We understand the ongoing battle between those who support online Poker Tools and those who do not, and feel both sides make for very good points. We can even understand some thinking that we preach fair gaming, and yet do not find online Poker Tools as such, and while we may disagree with them we completely respect all sides. However, we can probably all agree that if an opponent of ours is potentially using some form of tools, that we would want to make sure and have the best darn tool out there to level the playing field and crush them at their own game. Poker Tools have been around for years, our original Poker-Pal product that came out 4.5 years ago set the trend for online calculators helping people figure out the odds, and P-Tracker later set the new trend for stats analysis tools, and now with PokerSherlock it's just taking it yet a step further, much like any technology advancing.
As you can see, we don't hide anything here, we are pretty up front and honest about the whole situation, as we don't see a need to insult our player's intelligence. After all, we are all players ourselves, from the head programmer to the marketing team. |

Hey, just downloaded it and trying it out, i was wondering what stats people think are most important for a game, as it lets you customize your stats screen.
Currently I have:
VP$IP, Aggression, Win When See Showdown, Pre Flop Raise, and Post Flop VP$IP
I think this gives me good inidcation of tight and loose as well as if they calling machine, bluffer, or Maniac and how they play post flop.
Anyway, would love to hear what your optimal setup would be.

Are the "HHF history logs" compatible with Poker Tracker? i.e. Can PokerTracker auto import these files from my harddrive?
I am specifically interested in support for GamesGrid, Bodog and Sportingbet, none of which are listed on the "supported sites" page. Is this something that they are working on? |

Hi Demiparadigm,
The history log option on PokerSherlock outputs all the hand histories from all the sites that we support into the same format, this is the same format Party Hands are in. I haven't actually tried it myself, though I may now that you mentioned it, but would assume since PT can import Party hand histories that it would correclty import these as well.
I'd love for you to give it a try as well and let me know the results.
I'm not sure if there is something further we have to do to make it even more compatible with PT, but if there is we would be happy to do it to accomedate it.
We support many many sites, more than PT i believe, so I guess it would be a huge feature in itself to be able to auto import the hand histories from all the sites that we support for people who love to disect their own game in PT. And we are more than willing to acommedate any such needs once we better understand the specs of what is needed by our customers.
Sincerely,
PokerSherlock |

Where is this in Poker Sherlock? This is the one stat that I would absolutely love to see on all players (and would like it to track for me), but I cannot find it?? |

Hi,
We do not provide BB/100, at least not as of yet.
The reason for this is that we feel it reveals too much about how the player is winning or losing, and are contemplating as to whether or not this crosses the line in privacy. We will re-consider though as a lot of people are asking for it.
Sincerely,

This is absurd. Having access to any given player's entire decision-making history is a HUGE advantage, and one that is certainly UNFAIR. I have nothing against players who use PokerTracker to monitor their OWN tendencies, but to have instant access to the tendencies of every other player at the table is no better than using a bot to play for you.
I can't believe that the posters here have no qualms with software like Poker Sherlock. I am disgusted. |
