I'm looking to purchase a couple decks of KEM cards (I like one to get shuffled and ready for the next hand while the other is in play)

I've never played with KEM cards though, and I would like to see what they are like before I take the plunge. Does anyone know of any retailers that carry KEM cards? If not where is the cheapest place to buy them on the web?

Thanks for the help.

I bought mine at ebay. They were pretty cheap. I spend about $20 on 2 sets.

We have a retailer in Kansas City that sells them, but they are local. I'd say look for a place that sells pool tables. Along the scope of that will be poker tables and that's the people who will probably have the Kem cards.

If you can afford them, just buy them. Well worth the money.

Kem cards are the best cards I've ever used. I even bought them to a local tourney I play at. And they loved them too. The tourney director is gonna get some for the next time we play.

Just a quick note.. I bit the bullet and bought 2 decks of KEM cards. We've been using both exclusively in our home games and they still look brand new. Everyone agrees that they are well worth the $25 I spent for them.

Thanks for the advice guys.

Just as a side note. I recently bought another chip set and included with the chips were 2 decks of the ROYAL brand of plastic playing cards.

WHAT PIECES OF CRAP!!!!!! Confused You can practically see through them. Flimsy and on the small side, even by bridge standards. Before I bought my KEM cards. I had considered buying royals due to the fact that they were inexpensive. Now I know why they are so cheap.

DO NOT!! I REPEAT, DO NOT!!, BUY ROYAL PLASTIC PLAYING CARDS!!! YOU WILL BE SORELY DISSAPOINTED. THIS HAS BEEN A FTR PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT. Now back to our regularly scheduled programming. Razz

P.S.- My KEM cards still look new too. After many many games and dirty paws handling them. Very Happy

You know, thats funny. Because I've always known about the dodgy ROYAL cards, and yesterday I was looking on ebay for some new KEM cards, and I immediately found a set for £4.50! I was amazed at the cheapness!

The title of the product was '100% Plastic KEM Style Playing Cards'.

After going to the product's page, ready to buy, but after studying the picture I noticed that the label on the box for the cards said ROYAL PLASTIC PLAYING CARDS.

I didn't buy them. Lol!

Well cards went over real well. they played extremely well on felt but were super slidy on the regular table(we ended up with 11 people and had to split into two tables) Overall i'd say they were worth the 20 some bucks i paid for em
