Ugh. The last 5 days have been the worst consecutive days for me in my short online career. Down about $180 over that time. It could be much worse but before this bad streak I was up overall about +$380 in the 2 months that I've been playing. Now I'm down to about +$200. Still ahead a nice amount overall but it's always hard to be at your peak positive amount and then lose almost half of it in just a few days.
I've been getting no cards at all. When I do get cards it seems I always have the 2nd best hand. I've definitely found myself tilting after a bad loss during this 5 day bad stretch, which is something that I had been able to avoid (tilting, that is) prior to this point.
In short, nothing is going my way right now.
Oh well, I guess that's poker. Trying to keep a positive attitude because I know if I stick to my game things will turn around. But, as you all know, it ain't easy when things are going badly.
I hope you all are having better luck than I am. Hopefully I can post something positive here soon. |

I feel your pain.
I had a monster night a few weeks ago was + $300 and have been cold since that night.
I've put back that $300 and another $150 outta pocket.. (freaking tilting is EXPENSIVE)
BUt you said it, thats poker. |

Man, that stinks. Well, I guess we all go through it. And YES! Tilting is expensive!
Why does this game have to be so damn addictive!! |

Yeah, I decided to mix it up over this stretch and play on my other account which I have at Paradise Poker. Apparently that wasn't such a good idea after all. |

Hey guys,
Just letting you know that I've been there too, I've been hurtin for the last month or so, losing a little bit at a time. It was funny, a couple of days ago, I posted a message stating that things were turning around, I finally had a winning session, first time in a little while, I made 50 cents.
LOL
But since then, I'm happy to say I've made about $300, taking me back to positive territory for the month.
Anyway, going on tilt is expensive. That's why you cannot play when on tilt. I ALWAYS leave all tables and take a break as soon as that happens (smoke, drink, TV, message boards, etc.). Going on tilt immediately makes me impatient. Which is the worst possible thing for my game of discipline and patience. I want to play back at the fools that got lucky on me, but I don't. I quit. Yesterday, I lost $30 on one hand, my AK vs A9, he sucked out a 9 on the river to beat my top pair, I was betting big at him all the way, with a final check and call on the river when I suspected trickery.
Of course, then I reacted with my usual response - slamming my mouse down on my desk while yelling the f word. Followed by leaving all 3 tables and going out to my backyard for a smoke. That was the last hand I played for the weekend. My recovery from tilting is usually a couple hours to a day... I know when I'm ready and comfortable to go back to battle.
Going on tilt is only expensive if you play while on tilt... |

ttanaka - Thanks for the encouraging words. You sound like me whenever I go on tilt! It's amazing that my mouse still works! And if the walls had ears they'd be bleeding from all the f-bombs I drop after a particularly bad hand!
Tell me if you've ever done this one...... Sometimes after a particularly bad beat, while still seated I will grab either arm of the chair I sit in at my computer and while holding on firmly to the chair jump up and down slamming the chair into the ground upon impact after it takes off from the floor as I jump! Oh yeah, I'm swearing profusely during the entire episode!
That's when I know it's time to walk away for a drink (and a screwdriver to tighten up the screws on my chair!!)!
TILT! The 4-letter word! |

LOL - That is hilarious! I'm sitting in my office at work laughing my ass off!!!
I haven't tried jumping up and down in my chair, but imagining that is the funniest thing ever! My chair is kinda heavy and on wheels, so as fun as that sounds I don't think I can do it. After slamming my mouse down and dropping the f-bombs, I immediately stand up, rolling my chair across the office until it hits my back wall and I storm out.
Hey man, you know what, I'm gonna think of you and your episode the next time I go on tilt. I'll probably start busting up and that'll help my recovery time substantially, so thanks for the laugh! |

| I got one of my friends to sign up and I had a nice 50 dollar Bonus in my account. I found a table it was awesome limpers maniacs crazy everything. But for some reason I played just like them, like a complete idiot. I have been finding that I do better at tougher tables. But after I tilted I don't even want to tell you how I lost my second 25. It just embarrassing the things I was playing. I do not get mad I just get extremely upset get up and watch TV and the call my girlfriend. She does not care as long as I am up over all. But damn I hate tilt, for more than just the money I see it as personal weakness that I lack the self control. Anyways this site still rules. |

You're playing backwards! On a loose table you should tighten up "weak/tight." Wait for the nuts and some idiot will pay you off. Because so many hands are in play suited connectors, Kxs and such lose value. On a tight table you can open it up a bit because you can steal a lot of pots on the flop. You just need to keep it in moderation, use position and respect any calls/raises you get. |

What up guys. Just so you know their affiliate program pays 65 per sign up and is a much better deal because their are no rake requirements at all on getting your 65 and at the beginning of the next month you just sign in to the affiliate page they have and take your money right out of it into your poker account or firepay or igmpay or whatever you use. And like I said, your friend can deposit 50 and not play a single hand at all ever and you still get your 65 with no rake requirements for your own 65 either.
Plus since you get 65 and the min. deposit is only 50 you could always pay random people 50 dollars to sign up so its free for them and you still get 15. My bro just wanted half and he plays it all on his own. I got 2 other friends to sign up just telling them they got the 25 free from the personalized Bonus code you give them. You can really get quite a bit of money just with bonuses.
After you make your initial deposit with whatever you want (mine was credit card global pay calling card thing) - if you then register your checking account with the iGM pay thing they use - they will give you a 20% deposit Bonus on top of anything youve already got. The max on that is 20 so I wouldnt deposit more than 100. Hey its a free 20 though. Just make sure you put IGMPAY as the deposit Bonus code thing on the deposit screen. I was gonna register that anyway because I didn't want to risk a check coming through the mail from another country. Here is the email they sent me so you know I'm not lying.
Dear David,
Thank you for contacting Transaction Customer Service at Pay-Pro.
The maximum Bonus for a first time deposit through the iGMPay option is 20% of the deposit amount up to a maximum deposit of $100.
So the maximum Bonus amount that you can get is $20 for a deposit of $100.
For further details, please call us. We are available 24/7 to assist you with your cashier related questions and suggestions.
Sincerely,

Hi and thanks for the info. I have one more question. What is the max Bonus for this Bonus code? Is it $100 so I have to deposit $500 to receive it, or is it higher than that.
Thank you very much
David

| Oh yeah and I forgot to tell you that every month they have little bonuses for you too. If I would of gotten 5 sign ups last month I would of gotten a Shirt, Hat, Coat, and an affiliate only entry into the 5000 prize pool tournament with 1st place at $1250 and only a little over 200 people were in it. Thats pretty good. I only got 2 last month so I only got a free polo shirt but its still pretty good. This month they have it where if you get 3 you get a free shiana hyatt calander which is pretty retarded but if you get 5 you get the calander plus a Freeroll entry for PartyPoker.com Million IV Qualifier. Just thought i'd let you know |

Hey Guys,
Of course you could always refer interested players here. I post everything I know and have learned freely, and offer whatever advice when I can. Now you could take what you've learned here and convince your friends to play, and try to collect referrals, that's cool. But you could also have them visit this site and see if they find it helpful. Just a thought... |

| Yeah that is a must. Tyson is right. This site is too cool and you gotta send your friends here or at least let them know it exists. Also if you don't want to screw with the Bonus things just have your friends come here and sign up through the banners on the sign up guide for PartyPoker on the main page. Someone should get the referral money. I wish I knew about this site when I first signed up. Some random dude got me because I just searched for a coupon code and used basically the first one I saw and he pretty much helped me zero. |
