I've built up my roll from around $100 in September last year to $4004 now. But the more I play the less I want to play, which is really stupid now that I'm actually making some money.
Only played 4k hands this month... I really need a schedule.
I have most of my evenings free, so I can shoot for at least 2 hours of poker per day, 5 days a week... more if I so desire but not less.
This thread will be my log book, designed solely to amplify my shame if I fail to keep up the volume.
Table wise I'll be playing 4-12 mostly NLHE, some mixed games and some PLO.
Heads-up to Full-Ring... no personal preference.
Stakes: 50NL
Current roll: $3000 - (chashed out 1k)
overall winrate 7bb/100 @50NL <- needs to be moar also ld0.
No desire to move up to 100NL anytime soon, but I'll play if there's an exceptionally fishy table.
This month so far:
+$543 - running hot as usual
Like all good operations this will start TOMORROW... cause I'm tired.
Also: Sub operation: make avatar.
I have a srz cat pic, and I want to photoshop in a mouse so it can steel ur blindz... will prolly take another month cause I'm an idiot. |

Played for 90 minutes and lost concentration... I was winning $130, and I have to admit I like to call it a day when I'm ahead.
Anyway... washed some dishes and came back... last 30 minutes were pure torture. I didn't want to play and I ran pretty bad... really need to work on my motivation.
+$83 for today
988 hands played - I know... at least I got the hours.
Break even @ full-ring... so all profits come from HU-6max.
Maybe 20/16 is a little too loose for 9max after all.
--edit--
played 3 tables while browsing the interwebs.
Up $133 for the day. |

Decided to go with a stopwatch instead of a timer, just so I don't check the timer every 5 minutes... It also has a more positive feel to it.
Played 90 minutes in the morning, and another 90 minutes now.
FTP Bonus grinding is pretty sweet. First session was break-even, but +25 in Bonus and Rakeback. Second session +$70.
Feeling a lot better, but I have to maintain a more positive attitude. During the sessions I feel like I play half of my hands like a total donk, and the other half I get drawn out on, even though the results are perfectly fine. |

Best of luck oskar!
Would love to hear an update of how things are going with the stop watch and the minimum 2 hours per night of playing?
I'm not sure that I'd do well with your plan, as if would seem too much like a "job". I'd be better with something like 10 hours a week, since I assume there'll be nights you want to play longer and nights you want to play shorter. Although, we all are different, so I hopefully this works for you. |

If I wasn't planning on playing at least 15 hours, I would set the time lower. It's only the 4th day and I wasn't going to play this weekend because I'm visiting my father. (remember, only 5 days a week)
I know that I need to play regularly if I want to move on. - The only thing I'm any good at is playing drums, and the times I really improved was when I was driving to the rehearsal room every day if I felt like it or not, and just made myself sit there and practice something for at least 2 hours, usually more. I'm guessing it's the same with pretty much anything. You're learning that much faster if you're repeating it every day.
I played 2 orbits on one table on the boss flash client yesterday. +$13 |

I'm not sure if you want comments given you showed the villian's hand, but with the info you provided it's tough to say just how bad villian is here. Will he stack off w/ KJ, K10? I'd be tempted to call down after both his c/r flop and turn call. With only 1 pair, a cheap showdown looks good to me. |

No, I just posted it because it was my wtf moment of the day.
He would stack off with 9x, and the way he was playing he could easily have Kx, Qx...
He took about 15 seconds to call my river bet, so he did make it as a blocking bet... or maybe for value? I can't make sense of his line, and I suppose neither can he.
He's slowplaying the turn, and then he doesn't put money in... I mean wtf?
Maybe you overlooked, but it's 3-handed, so my range preflop is close to 50%... not going for cheap showdowns with TPTK there when villain isn't showing much strengh. |

Just happy to finish ahead. I was down significantly for most of the session. Luckily I got it in as a massive underdog and sucked out right before the end, saving both my profits and all-in EV. |

122min
650 hands
+$138
Tried to pay more attention to optimizing marginal spots and steal more.
Which is kind of hard when for me after winning some big pots. Almost layed down 2's full when villain decided to turn trips into a bluff... I guess he was value betting, but what a weired line...
luckily I'm a station. |

two 4h sessions today.
3400 hands
-$240
Most spots were kind of inevitable. I had 3 people slowplaying me with aces when I had queens and kings, and then they just got scared and checked the river... could have been a lot more expensive. Sklansky bucks are almost in the green. So... sucks but wtf.
Still ahead for the month.
I should play more shorthanded. FR is destroying my soul. |

90 minutes online so far.
A friend of mine is going to the cardroom to play a live donkament. They have €1/1 cash games, and I'm debating whether or not I should go.
2h
+$50 online for the day
only 200 behind all-in EV
I want to know what fucking sadist thought the all-in EV graph would be a good idea.
Oh, nevermind... make that -50.
another 70/4 with 50%AF pwns me HU. |

+€50 live.
The 1/1 games are fun. I was one of 3 players who bought in for 100. It's been some time since I've seen people misread their hands and make bluff-calls with counterfitted full houses and 4-card straights.
I ended up -$5 and decided to look for my buddy who was just starting the final table. Then I waited 20 minutes for a seat to open at the 1/1 or .5/.5 (I know... wtf!!) again, but finally played a €15 sng (again... wtf?!) and placed first.
Utterly buttraped by fees and blinds, but it's ok. Next time I'll prolly stick with the sng's, just because it's way more relaxed, and the people are fun. And there's some chance that they could actually have a positive ROI... It's amazing to me how so many people can suck this bad at push or fold poker.
I think this cardroom is going down even though it's the biggest in europe. All the high stakes games are going on in vienna, and they blew their last chance of getting a decent amount of 1/2 games going by introducing the "beginners" stakes where pretty much nobody can expect to win.
My buddy took first place after splitting by stacks - but not by amount of chips = % of pool, but 1st in chips gets 1st place money, and so on... how much do you need to hate money to agree to this when you're the short stack?
Live poker is full of mysteries for me.
Due to the recent downswing I'll cut # of tables to 4. I'm moving back to 25NL when I get below 2k - conservative as fuck, but I don't enjoy the pain. |

Morning session:
1h
+$1.05
Closed down after I got one outered 150bb deep to avoid tilt. Even though at the moment I didn't think it was such a big deal, but I already made a bad play yesterday that was definitely tilt induced when I didn't feel like I was tilting at all at the time. |

-$200 for the day
I keep telling myself "Iz just variance... it will go the other way...
I'm happy I'm still ahead of the month, but seriously, wtf... is this standard?
It's not as bad as it looks with RB and Bonus, but still... wtf!

4 tables tiled for the most part. Which is so much better for my game. So often the stats are simply bullshit. Especially short handed, donks are so influenced by past hands.... He's running 45/15, he builds up a 250bb stack, he starts playing almost every hand. He looses half his stack against a marginal hand... and from then on it's fit or fold until he builds up again, and so on. |

I accidentally a $70 tourney... is that bad?
I was out of town for the last 3 days, so I couldn't play.
Played 7h today.
+$80 in cash games
Was down about 200 at some point... really ran like ass. The biggest hand I had was AJ on AJJ, and I ran into AJ.
Registered for a 700 man tourney, because I like the pain. Finished 60th (first 40 payed) when I called an all-in from someone who was obviously steaming after loosing KK vs AT (is that even possible?!). I was in the bb with AKo, he had me about covered with ~8M. He shoved 45 from MP and hit a 5. It was soooted... I didn't expect him to push ATC, otherwise I don't know if I would call in that spot... especially since there was so much folding going on, and I very likely would have had better odds if I just kept stealing. Quite possible that this is a totally standard fold. I know I suck at MTT's
Anyways... break even session again.
I'm really just happy not to be loosing any money for the month... unless I'm going on a -15BI swing tomorrow... which I don't want to rule out.
I like to keep all my options open. |

Good news everybody!
They got the payout structure wrong. First 75 should have been paid - got the money today.
So yesterday was +$230
Also the guys in the MTT forum said it's a totally standard call with AK, so I'm feeling better.
Today:
1.5h so far - playing the rest 1 tabling FR while writing this and watching the latest HSP episode.

Another +$35 yesterday.
today:
3h
-$280
ran into the nut straight twice, once with a flop set, once with top2. Semi bluffed two nut draws, and got called with TPNK - I really ought to check who I'm bluffing.
Anyway. - 1k in all-in ev for the month.
+~$700 total in March (this session counts for april)
~$500 in Bonus and RB. - although I'm not entirely sure that this is correct... but I'm not going to check either. I'm ahead, that's all I need to know. Fuck March, April I'm going to cash in all my all-in EV karma and make a luckbox run for 200NL, XxStacksxX style
I just completely cashed out on my Boss network account. Just so I stick with FT. - That leaves me with 1,7k, and I'll decide later whether or not I'm going to redeposit that money anywhere.
Winrates are about the same over a significant sample now, and I really ought to finish the Bonus grind, and then move on to iPoker Bonus grind, so I get that behind me. |

Didn't play yesterday... felt a little ill.
Will play over the weekend instead.
Today:
2h morning session:
+$64
1h now
+$166
12 tabling FR... EZ game.
Got 1 outered once for a $150 pot, but one outered someone else for about the same, so... running good.
Quit early because I was deep and oop against other deep stacks on most tables, and I don't want want to fire up other tables now... gotta select and start out without stats again... blah. |

+$9 so far.

I can't believe I met my goal yesterday!
Played some 5NL with friends. Then 1-tabling 100NL with a drunk Bankitdrew, and a short session at FT where I got it in pre with AA vs KK and 22 and collected a 320bb pot.
- 2BI @ 5NL though

Thanks. Good luck to you. It's not that hard. A little discipline and you can pwn the microstakes.
Today sucked big time.
Was up $170 within 100 hands, and ended up -$70 after 2600
4h
I used to love weekends, now I feel like I have to rework my game specifically for the weekends. Usually if someone takes a really weak line, I can just bet them out of the pot. Today I got called down with so much crap, it's insane. It's stoopid low stakes. I need to assume level0 way more.

2h
+$204
800 hands
There were a couple of semi-interesting hands.
This guy was value potting multiple streets with tpnk+, so fwiw I pretty much snapped... but I can never feel too comfortable when villains just insta-pot every street, and play most non tp hands just extremely passive.

Stacks:
Hero (BTN) ($57.00)
BB ($147.65)
Pre-flop: ($0.75, 2 players) Hero is BTN
Hero raises to $1.50, BB raises to $6, Hero calls $4.50
Flop: ($12, 2 players)
BB bets $12, Hero calls $12
Turn: ($36, 2 players)
BB bets $39, Hero goes all-in $39
River: ($114, 2 players)
Final Pot: $114
BB shows:
Hero shows:
Hero wins $113.50 ( won $56.50 )
BB lost -$57
This one is interesting in terms of bet sizing.
I feared that if I made it like 13 and he flats, and shoves a non-diamond turn, I'm in a world of hurt... so I went with the overbet.

New operation: get in shape
100 push ups, 100 pull ups / day
Will also post - not to brag, but for the same reason I felt I needed an operation thread... I have very low initiative - I feel like it's very possible that I might just give up if I don't track my progress. |

Everything a little behind pace for today:
1.7h
1k hands
+$180
Not counting the first bracked of the noob HU tourney.
Erpel played really well, I played pretty bad, but I sucked out. Will meet Bbickes in the next round.
The soft underbelly of my refined upbringing is my soft underbelly.
Only made it to half of my fitness operation, and I'll be lucky to get out of bed unassisted tomorrow morning. |

Yup, I think I'll take it a little slower with that.
30 of each today - Everything still hurts from yesterday. Don't laugh... iz no fun to be a grown man with the arms of a 12yr old girl.
Anyway
3.5h
lots of hands
-$190 (250 behind all-in EV)
But I can't complain The all-in EV fairy has been fair to me this month. She could be a little nicer after the vicious buttraping last month, but I can't complain overall.

| 100 pullups per day is kind of crazy for someone out of shape. |

Friday:
3h
+$40
Today:
Just some PLO to test out the HEM omaha beta.
Some 2NL with friends where I got destroyed for like 4 buy-ins in 20 minutes.
Then a live donkament: €20+5 single rebuy. Split the price pool with 3 players left - I had about 8m, the guy to my right had 6 and chipleader to my left with with about 30... so... ez split. Chipleader took 1k, but that's still a good deal... basically 2nd place money without having to flip for a couple of hundred.
7h live
+€840
1h online
-$22
Had like the weirdest taxi drive home. Some polish woman with a gps that gave her the (clearly) wrong directions at every single opportunity... driving between two lanes most of the time and breaking and accellerating at inopportune moments. Plus the first thing she asked me was if I knew a whorehouse where older women worked... the previous passangers asked her and she didn't know.
Anyways... I'll just drag myself over to my bed now and pass out. |

Didn't play on Tuesday.
Wednesday:
2h
+$3
Today:

-$200
Mostly just ran like ass. One tilt induced shovel at the end with the nut flush draw when I knew I had very little fold equity.
3rd bracket of the noob hu tournament lasted less than 5min, and I'm out 2:0. |

sick session. Down 200 after the first 600 hands, then up 200... if there was a bounty for breaking people @ HU4rollz, I'd be a rich man. I think I ended 2 online poker carreers temporarily today.
Then down to 0 when some HU laggtard started hitting every flop, and up 85 in the last orbit @FR while closing down. |
