| I was looking online for some plastic cards and I was surprised to find that on eBay there were cards that I could get for 7 dollars for two packs plus shipping. I believe they are called royal, but then there is single deck of kem cards that is worth 20 dollars. Why is there such a price difference? Any recommendations on where I can get a good deal on some great plastic cards. Thank you in advance. |

I got a 2 pack of kem cards for ~$25 from cardsandchips.com. There was a guy at work selling used casino kem cards in pretty good shape for $10 a pair.
Definately go with kem when you can afford it. The cheaper stuff doesn't cut it... |

| Thank you for the quick reply. Can you tell me exactly what the difference is? Also how can i tell if i am playing with kem cards? I never knew about plastic cards until i found this home game that used them. Not sure if they are kem or just cheap plastic. |

| Kem cards are badass. A buddy of mine got two decks for our Tuesday night game. They take some getting used to, but once you have held them and shuffled them a bit, you won't want to pick up a deck of Hoyle's again. |

I love my Kem Cards. They are awesome for shuffling. The only thing I don't like is the smell. Wierd odor to them. |

Same story over here. I've never heard of Royal cards, but just because they claim to be plastic, or plastic coated doesn't mean they are as good as Kem. I bought a 2-deck of Kems and I can't go back. It almost annoys me to have to play with Bicycle or Hoyle cards.
When I bought my chips I got 2 decks of used casino cards. (they always give them away) But I haven't even opened these cards. I'm too in love with my Kems. |

| Nobody has said what the difference is between Kem cards and other cards. Why are Kem cards so great? |

| Difficult to mark, warp and very resistant to regular wear. Also, nice to work with. |

| Also Kem cards will last a lifetime. I know people who have been playing the same deck regularly for 10 years. |
