How should I have played this?
No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (5 handed)
Villain is 53/17 - 7%3bet over 70 hands
SB ($6.61)
Hero (BB) ($26.55)
UTG ($14.38)
MP ($15.22)
Button ($14.53)
Preflop: Hero is BB with 10 , A
UTG calls $0.25, 2 folds, SB calls $0.15, Hero checks
Flop: ($0.75) 8 , J , 10 (3 players)
SB bets $0.50, Hero calls $0.50, UTG raises $3, 1 fold, Hero calls $2.50
Turn: ($7.25) 10 (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $11.13 (All-In), Hero ? |

As played, I'd call the turn. If he has you beat, he either has a set, or he has JT (which is a cooler, since you're holding a ten too).
I'd bet the turn. If he has a hand like KQ or JQ, there's no reason not to charge him for a river card that could beat your hand. |

I concur, raise pre-flop. Your opponents are showing incredible weakness, and you have a hand that plays pretty decently 3-handed. Then c-bet the flop.
As played, I'd actually go ahead and 4-bet the flop. This is a great flop for ATo with the ace of clubs. You may be ahead and if you aren't, you have lots of outs.
As played to the turn, you are getting 1 1/2 to 1 odds with 19 reasonably likely outs (and that's not even counting the fact that you might actually be ahead), which is fine. Call. |

I like this line. We have up to 14 outs (56% chance of improving) and shouldnt mind building a bigger pot here to make it easier to get it in later. |

Just curious but wouldn't it technically be a 3bet? |

My bad, you're right, it is a 3bet. I usually refer to it PFR, where a 3bet is the second increase in bet, where post flop it'd be the third. |
