Sorry for an off topic thread, but what's the worst opponent that you've found on sharkscope? My worst had lost $5,500, and that was $5-$10 at a time! There were also quite a few others who had done $2,000++ - mostly just down in a straight line, without any positive "variance".
Invariably you see these guys trying to recoup their losses at a higher level, often at the $55s or even $109s, or digging themselves a bigger hole by taking a shot at the $20/180s.
If you had these sorts of results, you'd wonder why you wouldn't realise at least one the following:
- Maybe I should spend 5-10% of what I've lost buying some books and learning how to play the game
- Maybe I should do a google search for Poker Strategy?
- Take a small % of my losses and find a poker coach
- I suck at poker, I'd be better off playing chess/backgammon/scrabble/tiddlywinks, whatever
- I have a serious gambling problem and need to attend GA |

| I know its sad isnt it? I am glad I disovered sharkscope though, it rocks! ever notice when you sit down to a 180, the whole table usually has a little goldfish swimming around next to their name? but some of those folks have lost alot of money!!! I almost feel bad for them... |

| www.sharkscope.com - although it isn't 100% accurate, it claims to have captured the results of over 8 million PS and CryptoLogic SNGs. Try it - 5 free searches per day. |

| Whenever I play somebody who plays just so badly that you think "OMG how can they be so moronic?" (like people with 80%+ VPIP the whole tourney, or idiots who call AI bets with jack high) I look them up and 95% of the time the stats confirm my reads. |

I quite like Sharkscope.
My stats seem pretty accurate on there. (Just to give him a bit of kudos, check out TLR's stats ... forty2u ... impressive!)
I also paid the $8 for 200 searches (on top of the 5 free a day) so I run a SS search on all my opponents whilst I'm waiting for it to start. I have seen some uuuuber fish about.
Will have a look when I get home from work and report back! |

| Interesting. I don't really know if mine are accurate seeing as I didn't keep stats for the first year I played (and was a pretty bad player). I must have done pretty bad without keeping track because according to this site, I haven't made much money at all. |

lol!
You can change all that. Go to "preferences" and switch it to the "WLPWL" style. Super tilt means you haven't cashed in 8 straight.
You can also adjust the "Shark" and "Fish" settings - i.e. increase the sample size, adjust the %'s to define shark and fish. |

Didn't know my stats were as good as they said... looks like the return to SNGs for a short stint was justified.
Why on earth do I bother keeping my own stats? |

I think they just don't realise the extent of their losses.
Somebody on 2+2 made a good point, when these guys suck out on you DON'T tell the table that they've lost $x thousand and that sort of play is why - you don't want them realising the awful truth then stopping donating their money. |

The site needs to have good hand histories... (I'm not sure if VC has reasonable hand histories or not) But without good hand histories, the programs cant import... Also, for programs like sharkscope then need to have public MTT/SnG results. |

| I hate sharkoscope. It reminds me that I don't beat the rake. However, my sample size is so smalll, I could literally win 4 $27s in a row to cover my rake losses. |
