Don't mean to hijack, but irish you said something about "only having 25 buy ins"

I was planning on playing each level with 20 buy ins, is that too few? Sad

The higher up you play the more aggressive the players get ,wilder the swings get and the bigger a bankroll you need. At 100NL and lower you should be fine with 20 buyins.

Played a little 600NL today. Ended off up a buyin or so, it feels tougher though. The fish to TAG ratio is worse then 400NL and there's less tables to choose from. I'm not really sure what I'm gonna do now but party 600NL is a bit shit.

Try Bodog or other sportbettingish sites? They tend to lure gamblers with money.

They don't usually have more then 2 or 3 tables running though do they? Is there still a 3 table multitabling limit at Bodog?

See ideally I'd like to be able to 8 table 600NL at one site. The only places I can do that are Stars and FT but they both don't have many fish. Blah.. I think I'm just going to stay at party 400NL for a while. There is rumors brewing that Party may re-enter the US market soon. I'll wait and see what happens on that fron before I go anywhere else.

Operation mini-operation update:

20k hands in. Winnings so far = $11,400. Winrate is just a smidge above the 7ptBB mark. Life is good.

BR = $29,500.

I'm starting to feel stupid playing 400NL with 70 buyins. I need to move up methinke.

Broke through the 30k bankroll mark today!

I'm nearly at the halfway point in Operation Mini-Operation. 23,500 hands played since I started on the 11/29. Profit is $14,003 so far. It'd be so sweet if I could end this operation up 25k in 50k hands.

BR = $32,000.

Just for kicks I went and figured out how much I'm up since Operation 75k started. Not including the 9k bankroll I started with, I'm up a total of $38,500 which means I'm just over half way through the operation!

Huge lol at the chance of me completing the operation in the time I allotted at the beginning! But whatever, I'm getting there slowly but surely.

It's been 5 months now and considering I'm only doing this as a part time job (ie I never put nearly as much time into it as a regular 9-5) thats a fairly hefty payday. Multiplied out it equates to a $100k a year salary. Thats incredible considering it only took me a year and a half to get to this point. I never thought for a second I could actually make 100k a year playing poker! Ha!!

It just goes to show what you can achieve in this Crazy Poker world. All you guys who are just startng out and hanging round the Beginners circle keep playing and reading as much as you can. It'll pay off in the end. Poker is EZ!

I feel like I need to do a load more un-pussying. I've over 50 buyins for 600NL now and I still don't feel comfortable playing there. I think I'm afraid that I won't have much of an edge and my variance is gonna be huge. I suspect that my hourly rate is actually higher at 400NL too.
