A really really good hand I played against a 2+2 reg called shipitclowns. This is the second time I've gotten him AI pf with marginal hands. The last time my AK pwned his AQ.

I dunno it just works. It's a free program, how can it expire?

I have no idea... but I remember there being a thread about it a while back and that's when midas told me to just download Poker Grapher, but I liked Poker Patterns more.

I think this works

Played like shit today. ended up down a bout 1k which is really lucky given the way I played. I just tilted off a stack and decided to quit for the day there a minute ago.

I learned two things:

1) Long reraising battles with LAG who are running good against me can tilt me sometimes. It's high variance play and I need to keep that in the back of my mind from now on. Playing against these guys gets tiring but it can be really profitable if done right. I just need to be careful.

2) PLaying to music fucks up my concentration. I wont be doing that again.

anyway, BR is still around the 24k mark.

Nah, dunno. I'm still not happy with my play here. I suck at getting reads etc, I really do. Same thing with hand reading. I feel I need to be able to explain my plays a bit more or something Razz And I would like 40 buyins for 3/6. And you?

Yeah I kinda feel the same.

I played like 70k hands of 400NL during the summer at like 1ptBB/100 before moving back to 200NL for ages. I believe I'm a better player now but because I've basically blasted through 400NL running really hot this time around, it's hard to tell how much better I really am and how big my edge is. So I'm gonna play some more hands at 400NL and see how things go.

I've had a look at the tables though and it's pretty much all the same regs up there as at 2/4. I'm planning on doing some datamining and if I can find soft tables I'll take some shots for sure.

Disregard what I said, 600NL baby whooo Wink
Taking a shot and am running good. If I get owned, no more 600NL in December.

OPERATION MINI-OPERATION LAUNCHED!!!

I've been toying with the idea of moving up to 600NL ever since I crossed the 20k BR mark there a few days ago. I've played one session up there but I didn't really feel all that comfortable with it even though I played reasonably well.

Anyway, after lots of thought I've decided to set myself a mini-operation inside this thread. Basically the plan is to play 50k hands of 400NL before I let myself go move up. Since I basically blasted through I want to spend some time here and prove to myself that I'm a decent winner.

I'm backdating this operation to the point where I changed my party screen name on the 29th of October (I had 14k hands at that point which I'm not counting).

So far I've played 10,500 hands in 7 days and my profit is $6,400.

I'll keep updating every few k hands and get a nice graph at the end hopefully.

Shit that kinda makes me want to change my mind about operation mini-operation now!! Report back to me about the standard of opposition after you've played a few k hands and I'll think about changing my operation to a 600NL one.

Whats the fish to TAG ratio like compared to 400NL (I'd consider it excellent down here). The whole getting reads business is something at too. It scares me when I read the "XXXX regulars" threads on 2+2 and everyone has such intricate reads on everyone else and I'l like "shit I cant even remember peoples names"!

Just had the sickest session ever. Was up like 1.5k over about 3 hours of play when some guy sits down on about 3 of my tables and pwns me for all my profit. This guy runs sick good against me. I can't figure out if he's a luckbox fish or if I'm getting pwned.

Now I'm actually down money in a session I was feeling super good about 30mins ago! Time for a tilt break.

I really don't know. More aggressive play for sure. I tried stars like two days ago, and have run so insanely hot so I don't really care right now. 19 buyins in 6k hands ship it Very Happy But yeah, there are definatley fish. The regs can be a pain in the ass sometimes but it's actually fun trying to figure them out. But the deck has really been hitting me in the face lately (5ptbb/100 at 8k party hands and 15ptbb/100 at 6k stars hands) so I don't know. I also suck at describing stuff so try it. Fire up two tables tonight, if you aren't getting drunk. Saturday = +EV.

Hahahah the funniest thing just happened. About 3 hands ago, this guy suffered a bad beat and I told him in the chat to keep going all-in so that they cant suck out on him. Then...

saw flop|saw showdown

UTG ($484.90)
MP ($383)
Button ($170.18)
Hero ($552.40)
BB ($41.80)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q, Q. Hero posts a blind of $2.
2 folds, Fish calls $4, Hero raises to $18, Fish pushes, hero calls.

Flop: ($6) 9, 3, 7 (5 players)

Turn: ($6) 4 (5 players)

River: ($6) 3 (5 players)

Results below:
Hero has Qh Qc (two pair, queens and threes).

Played for hours and hours today, nearly 5000 hands of 6 tabling. At the time if my last pissed off post I was down $150, I've since turned it around and finished up just under $3k. gg me!

So far in operation mini-operation I've played 18,000 hands with a total value of $9,500. Running at 6.6ptBB/100 and things are looking good. It'd be amazing if I could keep this up till the end of the operation! I feel like I'm playing real good so who knows.

BR = $26,900

Don't mean to hijack, but irish you said something about "only having 25 buy ins"

I was planning on playing each level with 20 buy ins, is that too few? Sad

The higher up you play the more aggressive the players get ,wilder the swings get and the bigger a bankroll you need. At 100NL and lower you should be fine with 20 buyins.

Played a little 600NL today. Ended off up a buyin or so, it feels tougher though. The fish to TAG ratio is worse then 400NL and there's less tables to choose from. I'm not really sure what I'm gonna do now but party 600NL is a bit shit.

Try Bodog or other sportbettingish sites? They tend to lure gamblers with money.

They don't usually have more then 2 or 3 tables running though do they? Is there still a 3 table multitabling limit at Bodog?

See ideally I'd like to be able to 8 table 600NL at one site. The only places I can do that are Stars and FT but they both don't have many fish. Blah.. I think I'm just going to stay at party 400NL for a while. There is rumors brewing that Party may re-enter the US market soon. I'll wait and see what happens on that fron before I go anywhere else.

Operation mini-operation update:

20k hands in. Winnings so far = $11,400. Winrate is just a smidge above the 7ptBB mark. Life is good.

BR = $29,500.

I'm starting to feel stupid playing 400NL with 70 buyins. I need to move up methinke.

Broke through the 30k bankroll mark today!

I'm nearly at the halfway point in Operation Mini-Operation. 23,500 hands played since I started on the 11/29. Profit is $14,003 so far. It'd be so sweet if I could end this operation up 25k in 50k hands.

BR = $32,000.

Just for kicks I went and figured out how much I'm up since Operation 75k started. Not including the 9k bankroll I started with, I'm up a total of $38,500 which means I'm just over half way through the operation!

Huge lol at the chance of me completing the operation in the time I allotted at the beginning! But whatever, I'm getting there slowly but surely.

It's been 5 months now and considering I'm only doing this as a part time job (ie I never put nearly as much time into it as a regular 9-5) thats a fairly hefty payday. Multiplied out it equates to a $100k a year salary. Thats incredible considering it only took me a year and a half to get to this point. I never thought for a second I could actually make 100k a year playing poker! Ha!!

It just goes to show what you can achieve in this Crazy Poker world. All you guys who are just startng out and hanging round the Beginners circle keep playing and reading as much as you can. It'll pay off in the end. Poker is EZ!

I feel like I need to do a load more un-pussying. I've over 50 buyins for 600NL now and I still don't feel comfortable playing there. I think I'm afraid that I won't have much of an edge and my variance is gonna be huge. I suspect that my hourly rate is actually higher at 400NL too.
