Ok...
Tomorrow is going to be a long day, I have 754vpps to clear.
I may have to consider 9 tablling FR...which I have been very reluctant to do lately, though it's going to be necessary.
Thoughts for tomorrows session: DISCIPLINE, CONTROL, EFFORT.
It's going to be tough to grind about 3kish hands without autopilot sinking it eventually, thought I am going to do my best to try. I played 3k hands today and admittedly was very tired, but I am quite pleased on how well I was able to maintain my focus and not tilt. Breaking even will be satisfying, though I'm aiming to play my A game throughout the entire day.
Game will mostly be 50nl, a little bit of 100nl will be played earlier in the day while my focus is sharper - this should make it easier to obtain, and I'm in the middle of moving up right now so it'll be good to get some more hands in at that level. I plan on getting a good rest tonight, waking up early tomorrow, eat a good breakfast, and be able to tackle this and maxmimize my expectation in the process.
Later guys |

September review:
I learned alot. That is basically all I have to say.
As for the volume, this is the past 2 weeks. The other 2 weeks I only put in 15kish hands at 25nl-50nl for a measly +$200ish. I worked out a bunch of kinks in my game, and managed to get through a pretty epic downswing, which would have been much easier if I hadn't been auto-piloting. Anyway here's the graph of the last 2 weeks since I don't feel like importing the HH's from my other DB into this one to make it all one graph.
Cash: $1200
MTT: $22
RB: $300
Profits: $1522
Sadly, I could have 'easily' doubled that figured if I planned it right.. On the plus side I used my time effectively for other things such as studying, I think this will allow me to reap more rewards later. Like I said before, I learned alot this month.
Bring on auto-pilot free October. |

October goals:
-watch at least 5 videos per week
-put in 5 additional hours of study
-grind at least 25 hours each week (30 as long as I am in the right frame of mind)
-quit when auto-piloting sinks in
-gym 5 days a week (assuming no illness/injury)
-...[insert more here later]
from there I should learn and experience enough to be able to settle in at 100nl comfortably.
GL to you guys.

The fact that I dislike my father is giving me the drive to work hard enough at this game to bring about the opportunity of financial gain capable of allowing me to exit this place called home that I live in.
I guess I just never have been understood by anyone, or perhaps it's just me who doesn't understand.
I don't expect anyone to understand this post either, but I guess it's just a way for me to escape.
I will grind on, but still quit when incapable of playing well.

If the first bold has anything to do with the 2nd bold I definitely know where you're coming from kid. (Lol, kid when we're like the same age. ) I have a lot of problems with my "real" dad as well. (My parent's divorced when I was like 4, and my mom remarried.) If you ever wanna share sob stories, you know where to find me. |

Thanks for the support guys.
Achieving Supernova is officially one of my goals now and will start keeping track of my pace on Monday. I plan on grinding over pace on certain days so I can save room for 'slack' days where I can focus on playing fewer tables than normal while solidifying reads and enhancing my learning experience. I'm positive I will be able to achieve this goal without letting the quality of my play deteriorate - I only expect myself to improve. So I'll probably do something like 8-10 table full ring on Day 1, then 4 table 6max on Day 2, etc... I plan on just always switching it up and never getting stuck in a 'mode' unless I find a zone where I literally start printing money. I want to keep my mind open though and my game feeling fluid and adaptive to changing conditions.
So far I feel like I am playing well at 100nl - though I missed an EASY value shove on the river right near the end of my last session, and I think it was due to being tired/unfocused. I ended up quitting right after the hand was through, and am proud of myself for that. |

I start off my day with this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHyXdyRXMsg
Today will be a low volume grind, high volume study day. Gym is tentative as my body is in need of recovery, but I will likely do some light cardio. |

Played a really solid sesh tonight, aside from one hand that involved me leveling myself into calling an overbet jam with 2nd pair on the river in a 3bet pot.
Pro tip: don't overthink simple spots. |

Tomorrow's plan:
-Solid workout (likely upping the load on some exercises)
-Watch 2 preselected video's on my list/take notes/engage myself in the content/review over the next few days to let it soak in
-Aim to play 2500 hands, 2000 being the lower bound based on how I feel, 3000+ being the upper bound, which I'll shoot for if I'm feeling it. Hopefully I'll manage to have half of that 100nl, and the rest 50nl.
Let's hope I'm feeling it - bed early to make it happen. |

Hey Robb thanks for dropping in. I seem a bit so-so with volume goals to be honest. I hate picking an exact target, so instead I chose a range and aim to land insdie of it, as you can see. I feel it's probably the best way to go about volume (for me at least), especially for a short term volume goal because so many things like fatique/tiltyness etc can take over before the max # of hands is reached.
This month instead of aiming for a certain number of hands played I'm aiming to put in a certain # of hours. Then I'll basically just fill in the blanks daily figuring out how many hands I should play.
Good luck to you too sir, cya around. |

The entire 2+2 archives are, not just the wells alone. Some of those wells are really good reads. Lately I've been on DC mostly getting through some key videos I have picked out. |

Tomorrow's plan:
[ ] workout
[ ] grind 2500 hands minimum
[ ] complete the study of one of the DC videos on my list
[ ] re-read 3 articles
[ ] post 2-3 hands on FTR
I won't be satisfied with any of these boxes left unchecked. |

Well I got over subtle life tilt and grinded last night. Cleaned up 8 buyins or so @ 50nl. Ran so hot it made me want to puke, but I played really really well. I don't think I've maintained focus like that in awhile, I put in about 5-6 hours yet still felt like I could have played more. It seems like everytime something bad happens to me it ignites a wave of motivation to just get things done...
2 days off for weekend festivities, so I'll be back at it Monday.
Have a good one guys,

Heh, after being spoken to at the tables today apparently first impressions last. I still carry the reputation of a comlete spewtard apparently.
On another note, it's still early to tell whether I'll make Supernova or not, though I think I can pull through. |

Emailed Stars regarding my avatar lolll
I really hope this new one goes through.
On a side note: No more fucking caffiene before/during sessions. I played so retardedly aggro today and probably left a little over a buy-in on the table as a result.

Played 4500 hands yesterday, felt pretty good about it. Wasn't on my A game at first...then it came...then it went. It's annoying that I probably could have saved about 2 buyins over the course of the day but meh, today will be better. I was also trying out a bunch of things that I don't normally do and learned some things so that definately is a +. I was definately tired at the end of my session but kept on going. I'm working on picking up the volume for the rest of the month.
I have 63,556 VPP's till Supernova. I'll see if I can grind at least 800 today, though >1,000 would be ideal to keep slightly over pace. |

lol fml, decided to screw around at 50nl HU and played wayyyy to long of a session, ended up dumping a couple buyins there. Was up too late and was tired/not paying enough attention. Fail. Probably shouldn't have played poker tonight after fighting with my gf..sigh.
Discipline seems to be fading a bit..uhhh gonna study more than play tomorrow and try and get back on track. Not going to let bs irl get in the way of things anymore. |

nh BooG
Today is all about making good decisions. I'll be 6 tabling 100nl full ring while making the best decision every time I click that mouse. I'm on my A-game. |

Okay, I'm going to try something out and see how it goes.
I'm going to post EVERY single hand of today where I lost 50bb or more even if it's a cooler or standard. The point isn't to complain about getting unlucky or whatever, it's to force me to post the hands where I really fuck up too. The standard ones I'll just make a note on for being standard, but the ones that are spew will be publicly available for all you guys to bash and flame me for. Who knows, maybe there's going to be some 'standard hands' I post that end up being really, really bad.
Maybe this will work, should be fun. I'll start off with a session on 50nl and go from there. |

Okay first hand is just super super standard. This guy gave off a timing tell and a bet sizing tell and I put him squarly on AsKs. Nh tag-fish:
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (9 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com
MP3 ($100.50)
CO ($72.20)
Button ($27.85)
Hero (SB) ($50)
BB ($50)
UTG ($53.20)
UTG+1 ($52.55)
MP1 ($61.05)
MP2 ($64.60)
Preflop: Hero is SB with A , A
4 folds, MP3 bets $2, 2 folds, Hero raises to $7, 1 fold, MP3 calls $5
Flop: ($14.50) 7 , 8 , 4 (2 players)
Hero bets $8, MP3 raises to $49.50, Hero calls $35 (All-In)
Turn: ($100.50) 9 (2 players, 1 all-in)
River: ($100.50) J (2 players, 1 all-in)
Total pot: $100.50 | Rake: $3
So that's standard, this one is too. I hate to only have 2 coolers to post though I would like some feedback on my bet sizing here in this hand. What do you guys think of my re-raise size? Villain is a nit regular, I wanted to size my raise appropriately to let him think he can still spazz out with a flush draw properly..thoughts?
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (8 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com
MP2 ($95.85)
CO ($48)
Button ($52.60)
Hero (SB) ($64.20)
BB ($52.95)
UTG ($50)
UTG+1 ($54.35)
MP1 ($50.75)
Preflop: Hero is SB with 5 , 5
6 folds, Hero bets $1.50, BB calls $1
Flop: ($3) 6 , 10 , 5 (2 players)
Hero bets $2, BB raises to $7.45, Hero raises to $17.50, BB raises to $51.45 (All-In), Hero calls $33.95
Turn: ($105.90) 7 (2 players, 1 all-in)
River: ($105.90) 4 (2 players, 1 all-in)
Total pot: $105.90 | Rake: $3
This hand I didn't lose a big pot but I want to post because I don't think I like betting the turn here once he peels my c/r...however if I do bet I think I need to make it 8 dollar at least, my sizing is weird. Villain is a tight reg starting tables (this is our first hand heads up, no history), a bit on the straightforward/passive side. I think If I want to take him off a pair on the turn if he's weak/tight enough to fold it I need to bet like 9-9.50 or something. Flame please.

Turn: ($12) 3 (2 players)

River: ($26) 6 (2 players)
