I hope I didn't miss the bandwagon on this thing...... Rolling Eyes

****EDIT****
NEW GOAL

My goal is to earn $1500 playing Razz2/4 over my xmas break from school, relatively 4 weeks in length. And where you might add? The mighty PokerRoom!

Goal:
15000 Hands
375 BB
BB/100 = 2.5
Cold Calls < 20
Agg Factor >2
PFR >7

After being convinced, I changed my goal...2/4 here I come!

Wish me luck, I have to pay for school somehow

My goal is to earn $1500 playing 1/2 over my xmas break from school, relatively 4 weeks in length. And where you might add? The mighty PokerRoom!

Goal:
30000 Hands

It starts on December 09, 2004 (today) at Noon my time (1 pm EST) and will last until I start school again January 18th, 2005. Once I'm done with this I'm either moving up to 2/4, or learning 6 max, or both.

Wish me luck, I have to pay for school somehow Razz

Now that is a very tempting. Damn I wish I knew u better to know how good u actually were. There are plenty of people that are good enough to beat games they dont have the stake to play I just dont know if you are one of them. Plus the idea of sending a grand to someone I have never met doesnt sit well with me even though I know u would probably never screw me. Choices choices.

First Hour session from today....Started up really really good, 18 BB in the first 30 mins. I ended breaking even after a load of getting out drawn and playing unfocused.

Be careful! Don't get too results oriented. Don't trap yourself into thinking "well, I just HAVE to finish up X amount" or you'll find yourself gambling rather than playing solid poker. Just play solid, play big cards and have the best of it in large pots and you'll be fine.

I wish you many solid hours of poker. (don't believe in that 'luck' thing)

275 Hands
16 VP$IP
23 BB
8.27 BB/100
1.75 Agg (My River is very Passive )

I had some nasty beats in the end put on my by a Tag, check-calling me to the river (not very Taggy!)

Another HUGE session at 2/4 at PokerRoom..

350 Hands
14 VP$IP
$214 Amount Won
15.29 BB/100
10.0 PFR
3.07 Agg

Man, those of you not in IRC at the time I was playing, you missed an awesome pissing match between myself and another TAg at the table....It started with me winning with 88 vs. QQ and it finished a good 2 hours later after I left +$130 at the table. It felt so great to act like a fish...

Some memorable lines:

"my favorite player is phil headmouth"
"my second favorite player is phil ibey"
"My all time favorite player is moneymakker"

By the time I was done they were calling me down with bottom pair. Things culminated with me flopping Trips with AA and a guy capping me down to the river b/c he thought i was stealing the blinds. The pot ended up over $60. Grand 'ole time.

NOOOO Not variance.

Down around 22 BB today at PokerRoom, I've actually determined that that site is an excellent place to play for 1/2. But they don't offer enough/different tables at 2/4. I'm 'thinking' of switching to a 'Party' skin. We'll see.

The good news is that i'm up 17BB today at Absolute, which practically negates my downswing at PokerRoom. The other 5 BB I made back at Pacific, so theoretically I'm break even today, just my numbers don't show it.

Notable Hands: Lost $100 pot to a runner-runner Flush to my trip 3's....I made a mistake in not 3-betting the flop, the guy might have folded his TPTK but I doubt it. I thought I was golden, lots of action and the only draw was a flush draw, until at the river I was trying to dodge 2 suits, and not just one. One pot can make a difference between a really good day, and a really bad day.

Another Huge day. Its been a good 4 days since i've last played and the Poker Gods miss me!

I've decided to switch over to Party, the lack of 2/4 games at PokerRoom swayed me to switch. Oh man, what a decision!

I was catching cards like you couldn't believe. I had 5 of my first 7 Pocket Pairs hit for sets. And I lost two of them to flushes! Also lost KK to 35o.....what a moron.

488 Hands
18.44 VP$IP
14.1 BB/100 Smile
Amount won $275
9.43 PFR
3.11 Agg
0 Cold Calls

VARIANCE SUCKS!

Haha, I knew I would get hit with it, and boy did it hurt.

253 Hands
17 VP$IP
9.09 PFR
Amount won: $-258
-25.49 BB/100
Agg - 1.53

My agg went WAY down. Thats probably a side effect of me losing so much. However, I didn't feel I was on tilt too much, although I don't doubt I was.

Some good news however, I had my first 1/2 6max session after I lost so much at 2/4 for today. Keep in mind I have no idea what hands to play, I just sat down at Hyper's table and took his chips Smile

189 Hands
34.92 VP$IP (FISH!!! lol)
Folded BB to steal: 25
Att. to Steal Blinds: 52
Amount won: $35
9.16 BB/100
24.87 PFR
3.48 Agg

I don't remember playing like this. I actually thought I wasnt raising ENOUGH. I'll post some hands for analysis. I think I'm designating Party 6 max site and Eurobet 2/4 site. I know these are the same but I have never done well at Party, but at all the sister skins i've done great. I need practice at 6max anyway and the Bonus there would make a good cushion.

Alright, well, after a bad opening session, I decided to switch games and sites and see how I did.

I did great! I played some more 1/2 6 max on Party, I played some 2/4 6 max on Absolute, and some full ring on Absolute and Pacific.

I Only ended the day -40 BB day, instead of 65 BB. I feel great about it too Smile.

I would feel better but I made some stupid plays at the end of the session and had a $70 swing again, otherwise I would be feelin real good.

Well, thats it for today, tomorrow I'm headed home! I've got so much stuff to do......(yeah right!)

Played a lot of poker today. Finished up the Party Bonus just over break even playing 2/4, but the 1/2 6 max is what brought me down. 2000 hands for the Bonus, only down $28 for total, so i'll take that for my $200. However, I made up for it at Absolute!

You should start looking into multi-tabling and/or cherry picking 3/6.

We'll see, I've got the ultimate test of 2/4 skills: Poker Stars.

I'm gonna clear their Bonus and hopefully fair better than when i tried the 1/2 a month ago. Last month, that killed my win rate, hopefully i can do better.

Poker Stars Blows!! LOL.

Its not that bad, but all the Weak Tight players are starting to get to me. If I can just get out of this place break even not including the Bonus, I'll be more than happy.

Right Now, I've played probably 400 hands, and I'm down around $27. Poker Star's hand histories are F'ing up importing into PT. Looks like I'm not including these in the 'official' goal statistics.

Almost 30% of the way through this Bonus, please, let my suffereing end soon!

Poker Stars....continues to blow!

Due to the lack of full ring 2/4 tables, I went to the 6 max tables, and proceeded to lose $135.

So, i headed to Absolute, and the 2/4 tables were bunk, both full and 6 max, so I decided to get in on a game of 3/6. Man, those Absolute 3/6 players arent very bright. I ended the day up $110 playing 3/6 at Absolute, and up $175 at Pacific.

I then headed back to Poker Stars to clear some more Bonus hands, I started to quad table 1/2, and I proceeded to make $85 there.

So, today I'm up $236 playing 1/2, 2/4, and 3/6. Mostly 3/6 saved my ass from having a bad day. I cant post the results from Pacific Poker, But my Absolute Stats are:

3/6

97 Hands
15.38 BB/100
10.31 PFR
2.44 Agg

I'd post some hands but really there wasnt anything too interesting about them. I did call to the river and won with A-high, that was fun.

My operation is almost complete, I've kinda lost track of my totals because Poker Stars has been FUBARing my HH into PT, so I say FU Poker Stars.

Lol! Getting the best of weak/tight players takes some getting used to. For the most part you avoid letting them get the best of you, nail their blinds and steal their button.

You gotta get an account set up at Pacific. I just went back there again and won another $50 in about 30 mins. The players are horrible, 8 of 10 players seeing the flop at 3/6. Its great.

VP$IP = Voluntarily Put Money in Pot
BB = Big Bets Won
BB/100 = Big Bets Won Per 100 hands played
Agg = Post Flop Aggression factor
Cold-Calls = yup
PFR = % of Preflop Raises.

If you are a limit player, download PokerTracker, it does this all for you.

Well, I guess I'm finished, I have no idea. I stopped keeping track.

I've made $500 at Pacific playing 3/6 so Its pretty much over. Gawd, those have to be the easiest tables i've ever seen. 3/6 is easier than 2/4 at Pacific.

So, I will be the first to say congratulations to myself, and may the good cards keep coming.

I *suppose* I could have said something like "congratz! Way to go!" but limit sucks and I realize that it must have been a fuggin grind to get that money and I wanted to make you feel much, much worse.

Actually, it wasnt much of a grind at all. I just played cards and talked to my buds on IRC (you not included) and had fun doing so. I did it in 1/2 the amount of time I expected to do it in, so it wasnt bad at all. I say I averaged $50 an hour or more during the rush.
